"It's open to traffic, you don't need to change the road to the neighboring town to take the bus to the city, you can lift your legs to get on the bus at the door of your home, get off and enter the mall." These days, the villagers of Wangucheng Village, Guantao Township, Wu'an City, rushed to tell each other, and the news shared by everyone was: Starting from August 22, the No. 28 bus from Wu'an City to and from Wangucheng Village, Guantao Township will resume traffic.
"At 6 o'clock in the morning on the day of the opening, the brand new No. 28 bus stopped in the square in front of the village committee, and the villagers beat gongs and drums to come to celebrate spontaneously, which was very lively." Guo Shuilu, secretary of the village branch of Wangu City, said.
Wangucheng Village, Guantao Township, 49 kilometers away from Wu'an City, is isolated by villages in Shexian County, and is an "enclave" in Wu'an, with poor traffic conditions for a long time. Although the Wu'an-Wangu City bus line was opened in 2019, it was temporarily suspended due to objective factors. Knowing that the villagers along the line travel is very inconvenient, the demand for traffic is strong, this year Wu'an City put the 28 road on the agenda, after the preliminary field investigation and the efforts of all parties, the bus finally drove to the village again.
At 10 o'clock in the morning of September 3, Wang Xingguo, a citizen of Wu'an who went to Changting Village, boarded the No. 28 bus and chatted comfortably with his companions along the way. From the past to the present, from the city to the village, everyone sighs that now the bus is connected to the village, the car is convenient and comfortable, not only can be paid by mobile phone scan code, and the bus has been replaced by a pure electric vehicle, which is clean and safe.
"In the past, buses used gasoline and diesel to choke on smoke, but now the trams are automatically transmitted, and the cabins are clean and bright. The integration of urban and rural passenger transport, our Wu'an public transport is really good. Chang Yunming, a 52-year-old No. 28 bus driver, was deeply touched.
After the opening of this line, at half past six in the morning every day, Chang Yunming departed from Wangu City on time, and traveled smoothly all the way to and from the beautiful mountains. In the car, there are people who go to the city to seek medical advice, some who take their children to go shopping, some who go into the city to deliver food to their children, and some who go out to work with their luggage.
When the last batch of passengers in the morning was sent back to Wangu City, it was already more than 12 noon. After Chang Yunming cleaned up briefly, he turned the bucket upside down in the car as a dining table, and a fried cake was lunch. "I have to leave at half past one, and I can only return at half past five in the afternoon, make porridge and have a simple dinner, stay in the village at night, and leave early the next day." Chang Yunming said.
"The No. 28 Wangu City feeder bus takes an hour and a half, runs four times a day, and goes back and forth twice, which greatly benefits the people of the three lonely hanging villages in the west of Wu'an, such as Wangu City, Changting, and Maqushui, and the villages along the line, such as Douzhuang and Shijiazhuang in Shexian County." Liu Xiao, head of the production and operation department of Wu'an City Bus Company, said.
The opening of the No. 28 bus line is the epitome of Wu'an's promotion of the integration of urban and rural public transportation. Since 2017, the city has gradually realized 100% public transportation operation of urban and rural passenger transport in the city; Invest 30.6 million yuan to purchase 51 new pure electric buses to achieve green travel; Establish a smart public transport system to connect all routes and vehicle operation information to the "Take the bus" app to achieve information sharing and efficient use of resources.
"In recent years, Wu'an City has continued to promote the construction of rural roads, continued to open up the 'last kilometer' of the road connecting villages and villages, and led the roads to 'cloud' villages and 'valley bottom' villages." Liu Xiao said that now Wu'an City has opened 37 urban and rural bus lines, connecting the city's 502 organized villages into a network, and the buses have reached the entrance of the village, making it more convenient for urban and rural residents to travel.
