On September 14, the Jimu-1 I. float boat, which resembles a "great white whale", completed its eighth scientific observation in 22 days at Shuanghu Lake in Tibet.
As part of the second Qinghai-Tibet scientific expedition launched in August this year, "Guarding the Water Tower - 'One Yuan, Two Lakes and Three Rivers' Major Landmark Scientific Expedition Activities", the mainland's self-developed in-situ high-altitude scientific observation platform has a ground take-off altitude of 4,920 meters, and the altitude of eight flights has reached an altitude of 6,300 meters.
The eight scientific observations completed by the Jimu-1 I. float craft are the first exploration of the uninhabited area in northern Tibet by the Jimu-1 series of floats for the second Qinghai-Tibet scientific expedition, and it is also the one with the most scientific exploration instruments in all previous observation missions.
It is understood that the observation mission will last until the end of September.
