On the morning of September 28, China's "3rd Spacesuit Technology Forum" was officially opened at the Shancheng International Conference Center of Western (Chongqing) Science City. At the event site, the China Manned Space Engineering Office released the lunar landing suit name collection activity to the public, and disclosed the appearance of China's lunar landing suit for the first time.

The main body of the moon landing suit exudes a metallic luster full of science and technology. The red decorative bands on the upper and lower limbs enhance the visual sense of strength and slimming. The upper limb ribbon is designed as an elegant and elegant "flying" streamer, and the lower limb ribbon is designed as a rocket liftoff tail flame shape, echoing up and down, forming a soaring situation. The overall costume draws on the form of traditional armor, which is tough and resolute, highlighting the solemn spirit and extraordinary courage of the expedition, and conveying the will and spirit of the Chinese nation to forge ahead and move forward bravely.

According to reports, since the development of the moon landing suit was launched in 2020, it has focused on the comprehensive protection of complex environments and the improvement of human service capabilities, with the goal of lightweight, miniaturization, high safety and reliability, broken through a number of key technologies, established the overall technical scheme, and laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the mainland's first manned lunar landing mission.
The appearance of China's lunar suit was unveiled for the first time, demonstrating the phased achievements of the mainland's manned lunar exploration mission, and also marking that the mainland's spacesuit technology has entered a new stage of development.
The spacesuit is an essential protective clothing for launch, return, and out-of-cabin activities, providing life support and operational support for astronauts. The development of spacesuits involves a wide range of disciplines and complex technologies, and at present, only a few countries in the world have the ability to independently develop spacesuits. With the vigorous development of the mainland's manned space industry, the cabin spacesuit escorted 35 astronauts into and out of space safely; The mainland's self-developed first- and second-generation "Feitian" extravehicular spacesuits have so far supported 17 astronauts and 33 people to successfully carry out 17 out-of-cabin activities, effectively guaranteeing the construction and efficient operation of China's space station.

The reporter learned that the forum with the theme of "innovation, cohesion, and integration", a total of more than ten experts from the national business community, universities, and scientific research institutes conducted in-depth exchanges on the overall design of the spacesuit system, protection and environmental control, health protection, electronic information and human service capability enhancement, etc., and shared the achievements made in the field of mainland spacesuit technology and the new needs, new challenges, and new technologies for the development of spacesuits in the future, and discussed the future development direction of spacesuits. The purpose is to focus on the technological innovation needs of spacesuits, share the latest achievements in spacesuit technology research, and jointly promote breakthroughs in spacesuit technology and help the development of manned spaceflight technology.

In addition, the event site also officially released the first interstellar exploration spacesuit creative design competition with the theme of "across the interstellar dream deep space" solicitation activities, the competition will focus on the future interstellar exploration missions to carry out the creative design of extravehicular spacesuits and in-cabin spacesuits, the participants are domestic college students, in-service teachers and domestic primary and secondary school students, on the basis of aiming at the needs of future missions, actively encourage participants to stimulate imagination, bold innovation, and provide important reference and reference for the research and development of future spacesuits in the mainland.
The journey of manned spaceflight and the sea of stars has never stopped. The Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, located in Science City, has contributed to the development of the mainland's aerospace industry in another way, and has produced a large number of important design achievements represented by space vehicles, space clothing, space robots, and manned space flight mission logos. In 2022, the Chuanmei aerospace design team participated in the "industrial design of spacesuit appearance and operation components" task commissioned by the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, and carried out a new generation of spacesuit industrial design for the major needs of China's future manned spaceflight development. Previously, the logo of the Shenzhou-17 manned mission was openly solicited from the whole society for the first time, and the work designed by Sichuan American students was selected, and finally the work was also pursued with the astronaut's spacesuit.
