Diwan - October 3, 2024 Libra Solar Eclipse: Hanging in balance
A 10°03′ New Moon eclipse in Libra occurs on October 3, 2024 at 2:49 a.m. EDT – opening a new moon phase cycle with a focus on relationships, one-to-one relationships, and unions. This is the second of two solar and lunar eclipses (the previous one is the Pisces Lunar Eclipse on September 18, Beijing time) – emphasizing the time period of the end and the new beginning. A solar and lunar eclipse is a new moon and a full moon that align the lunar nodes of fate and karma – a fateful time that is considered to grow and evolve (the North Node) and a karmic time to resolve and release the past (the South Node). This eclipse is a Nanjiao solar eclipse – which emphasizes the karential, stagnant part of relationships and unions – and also focuses on imbalances in life.
The solar eclipse forms a close conjunction with the true and average Black Moon Lilith, as well as Mercury – bringing interesting communication and relationship dynamics. If we avoid things, if we ignore or deny the shadows – then they can explode so badly that they have to be confronted. Or, if we always talk in generalities, there is a different truth in the shadows – and that part of the truth will also be exposed. It looks like it's going to be a fierce solar eclipse, exposing the unbalanced, discordant, and useless parts of life and relationships that bring these into focus. On a secular level, this eclipse may emphasize international relations (including covenants and diplomatic relations) and expose what's in the shadows.
The solar eclipse is square Mars in Cancer and Ceres in Capricorn – the solar eclipse forms an explosive T-triangle with the god of war and the Great Mother. Add to that the North Node of Aries, and we get the cardinal house Grand Cross pattern. Mars in Cancer prepares to defend family, family, and country, but Mars is in Cancer and is emotionally very subjective and prone to emotional reactions. Ceres' focus is also on home and family, safety and security, and Ceres is also not comfortable in Capricorn (Ceres' attributes are more comfortable in the opposite house of Cancer). We need to be mindful of patriarchal attitudes, tendencies to suppress emotions, and the forbearance to continue to pander to expectations and responsibilities (or traditions and dogmas), which are not only old paradigms, but also toxic and unhealthy.
The eclipse is closely conjunct the asteroid Esthes – the Sun, Moon, True and Mean Lilith, and Esthes are all between 10°04′ and 10°54′ in the constellation Libra. Yoshigami was the last goddess to live on Earth, and at that time the other gods had ascended, because human consciousness had become too low-frequency, and only Yoshigami tried her best to stay - in the end, because there was too much war, hatred, and killing, her heart could no longer bear it, and she left. When she left Earth, she also took the Golden Age with her, and it is said that when she returns, she will bring the Golden Age back to Earth - but if the planet's consciousness is not upgraded, she will not return. She represents purity and innocence, and she can only come back when purity and innocence can live safely on earth, otherwise she will not be with us.
The asteroid Esthesis represents many things – on the one hand, she represents balance, justice, purity, and innocence, but this eclipse is the South Node eclipse of karma, and the karma of Nyss is that she doesn't know when to let go or leave, stays too long and endures too much. Add this part to the Libra archetypal story, and this energy is strongly focused on relationships, one-on-one relationships, marriage and business partnerships, diplomatic relationships, and we may stay in unequal, unfair, and unhealthy situations for too long. The North Node balances the solar eclipse in Aries, and Aries demands action, asking us to take a stand, speak the truth, set boundaries, and learn to say no. Aries asks us to be healthy and self-protective and not stuck in a relationship or dynamic that is always taking, taking, and not giving equally. It's important to be able to recognize the truth of the moment, rather than always thinking about what's possible, should, maybe, ever. That is, a particular relationship may have been healthy and mutually beneficial in the past – but in the present moment, it may not be anymore, and we can't just dwell on the past.
All the squares of Libra and Ceres can also magnify the following themes: family and family circumstances, mother and child and parent-child relationship, family and country safety and security, environment and climate, food supply, and so on. Ceres is in an out-of-bounds position – amplifying these energies even more. Coupled with the fact that Mars opposes Ceres and squares Libra, it can be very emotional, very subjective, and very emotionally reactive. Perhaps everyone sees things from their own perspective – very subjectively understanding their own needs for security, security, belonging, and at the same time having huge blind spots in understanding the legitimate needs of others. Or, some people sacrifice their own needs in order to focus on the needs of others – which ultimately upsets the balance of their own health and well-being, and this part of the story may be an important message around proper self-care. The focus is on finding a balance between self and otherness, giving and receiving, independence and relation.
Looking at the midpointWe can see that the retrograde Uranus is in Taurus, forming a 135° aspect to the Libra stars and a 135° aspect to Ceres, so Uranus, the turbulent star, becomes the midpoint of the Libra stars and the great mother god Ceres. We have to confront the problem of following dogma or patriarchal discipline for too long, which we have avoided before. Uranus is the almighty energy – you never know what to encounter when it comes to Uranus! It can be liberation and freedom, or chaos, turmoil, and unexpected dynamics. Uranus keeps us on our toes. The key to working with Uranus to make the most of Uranus energy is to embrace change, clean up, and let things pass.
Venus, the ruling planet of the solar eclipse, is located in the constellation Scorpio and is almost always in auspicious phases, with Mars and Saturn forming a water triangle and a twelveth square to the stars in Libra. If we are willing to feel emotions, the water triangle can bring very powerful blessings – in the water sign, after all. The eclipse is in the air sign Libra and conjunct the South Node, which may highlight a place where our minds are so deep that we don't have adequate access to our minds and bodies. Feelings are the path to healing – don't hold them up, deny them, or avoid them. But don't react emotionally in explosive, uncontrollable ways, either. The right relationship with emotions is important, and shadow assignments are helpful!
There are several Southern Node conjunctions to watch out for in the days leading up to the eclipse – the Sun conjunct the Southern Node on September 28, Mercury conjunct the South Node on September 29, and the Sun conjunct Mercury on September 30. This is a time to pay close attention to what you hear, think, say, or otherwise understand. Some toxic, stagnant, and stuttering parts of a relationship or life balance (imbalance) are exposed. The information you receive at this time may provide a very useful insight into what the eclipse demands on you.
The Libra position (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Lilith) is strongly shaken and interacts violently with all the transpersonal social stars. Libra conjunct South Node, quincunx Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, opposition Chiron and Eris, square Pluto – the Libra star and the Libra house in our chart are activated. In addition, Mars is also involved in Cancer, adding fuel to the fire again. It's important to be willing to see through what is out of balance, what is ineffective, what has been avoided in the past, what is not on the surface and what is behind the truth. If we are unable to make a conscious choice – the universe (through astrology) will force us to choose.
Last but not least, the Libra solar eclipse conjuncts the star Taiwei Zuoyuan. Today we can hear about this star in the mythological tales of the constellation Compae, a more modern version of the myth of Queen Berenice cutting her hair as a sacrifice in exchange for her husband's safe return from war. Presumably also because of this myth, we are told that this star means "to sacrifice oneself". A more ancient version of the post-haired seat is seen as a divine mother, with her divine son/child sitting on her lap. You can see this story on the ceiling of the Temple of Dandra in Egypt. She represents the virgin of purity, nurturing her divine child (as in stories like the Virgin Mary and Jesus, Isis and Horus, Knight and Ra, and so on). Comah means longing or anticipation – so this can be a longing for the Holy Child. The ancient Egypt name for this constellation is "Shes-Nu", which is said to mean "longing son". But Shes is the extended umbilical cord, and Nu can be the native place of Nu, the goddess of the sky, and/or Nu/Nun, the god of chaos. This can be the umbilical cord that connects us to Mother Universe. A mother who nurtures her children can be a great mother who nurtures us – maintaining our connection to the Source.
When I deeply felt this ancient version of the myth and explained that this star was conjunct to the eclipse, I also deeply felt that karma had severed our connection with our Mother. The archetype of Nyshimi is a kind of mother character who stays on Earth to help humanity until she can no longer bear the pain of her low-frequency consciousness, she doesn't want to leave but has to do so for the sake of her energy frequency (otherwise she may forget who she is - which reminds me of the movie The Last Unicorn). We do have the guardianship of the Holy Mother, who breaks her heart when she sees humans at war with each other, killing each other, attacking stance, always thinking of conquering and dominating.
For me, the Taiwei Zuo Yuan 5 is a representation of the sacrifice that the Mother has made for us—while the posterior sign reminds us that severing our connection with the Mother/Divine Feminine is the cause of all suffering in the world. That's what the Holy Grail myth says – the wounded Fisher King and his desolate land are wounded and desolate only because they have severed their connection with the divine feminine energies (love, kindness, compassion). As long as we are at war with each other, we cannot be said to be loving or good. Ironically, religious wars are waged by religions that preach love and compassion, and they speak of love and compassion but kill each other. Something is lost – everything that is lost is the Mother Goddess and the feminine principle part (her primacy is conspicuously absent in all the major religions of the patriarchal world).
Interestingly, the constellation Comae is the location of the galactic north pole, the true north pole of the Milky Way, where we can clearly see the distant universe beyond our galactic home. The galactic part of the galaxy obscures our ability to see beyond ourselves – but at the galaxy's North Pole, we can see farther away. The Milky Way North Pole is located at 0°22′ in Libra, which coincides with the autumnal equinox in the zodiac, and 2 degrees from the center of the Super Milky Way, 0°-3° in Libra is a very powerful piece of the sky, and its highest expression is a call for peace, balance, and harmony – the things we all need to call out to now, because too many wars on Earth are deteriorating to a boiling point, and they don't ease, and we can't get out.
Later I will leave you with the Sabien sign and the Starfire meditation for this eclipse degree. The Sabien sign speaks of the question of transmitting knowledge – from the old to the young, from the past to the present and the future. It can mean that there is a disconnect between the old Guardians and the young new Guardians, and it also raises the question – what is the difference between "teaching" and "embodiment of wisdom"? That is, what is the difference between a head full of knowledge and a person full of wisdom? (There is a huge difference!) )
The Spark Meditation is a pattern setting, poured into shape, telling us that "everything is predestined" and that "past actions now develop a world of cause and effect". This is the very karmic South Node. This is a reminder that the present is due to actions in the past. But it also reminds us that one choice in the present moment can change the trajectory of our future. Tell us that "it is possible to take a leap into freedom and become a new person". It's both individual and collective – and I feel like a turning point for humanity is emerging on its own. What will we choose?
Give you the blessings of the New Moon

Sabien sign – Dane · Ruile
Stage 191 (Libra 11°): The professor stares at his students through glasses.
Theme: The issues of knowledge diffusion that accompany a given cultural context.
A rather peculiar sign of this stage is that it shows a rather humorous state that one's mind can achieve at this stage, but it doesn't seem to be justified in turning the picture into some kind of irony, nor can it be emotionally expressed in the description of a "good old professor". Instead, the picture should be analyzed to discover the underlying elements. The professor read so much that his eyesight was severely impaired; In the days when dual-purpose glasses were not widely used, he had to see students through them. Thus, this picture only shows two aspects of the identity of the "professor"—namely, the ability to pass on to the younger generation the amount of knowledge accumulated in the past, the need to absorb such a large amount of book knowledge that affects not only the mind but also the eyes, and in order to satisfy the demands of the restless youth, the teacher must somehow go beyond this knowledge and see the student as a human being.
This is the first sign in the thirty-ninth quintuple sequence, the intellectual dimension, which points to the teaching of collective knowledge accumulated in the past, and the problems that arise with acquiring that knowledge. This is what "teach"—a process that is not to be confused with "teaching."
Starfire Meditation – Elias · Lonsdale
Tea leaves a pentagram
The pattern is fixed, the pouring is formed, and everything is predestined. Past actions now produce a world of cause and effect. It's easy to see that there's nothing new, everything is as expected, closely following the old pattern, the timeless design.
When the dial of the time is preset and fixed, the inevitability takes effect, and the appropriate choice is to follow the signs and omens, we can integrate and embrace the circumstances that arise in life as destiny, knowing that it is something that we created a long time ago.
Now, too, there is a very strong dynamic here that takes a new direction. It is a choice, a possibility, a leap beyond expectations and assumptions. When the pattern is dissolved and understood in all its contours, it is possible to make a leap to freedom and become a new person.
In order to transition from a fixed past world to an open future world, we often need to balance the two for a while, repeatedly exiting the old realm and feeling the new, again and again. Can we really afford such a big change? Isn't it too late?
The answer to this mystery of fate is found in the stars, in the cards, in synchronicity, in dreams, in all sorts of subtle worlds. On this path, we must consult all beings and the world along the way. The only way to know at the moment is to connect with the whole and let the parts of oneself manifest in a broader context.
Also give a hint. Wherever you can see the vision and open your heart, all possibilities are also fully opened.
