On October 7th, in the multi-functional hall on the second floor of the Zigong City Library, the third phase of the "Yandu Xuanji" intangible cultural heritage forum came as scheduled. Through free registration, 20 groups of parent-child families were invited to participate in the event and experience the unique charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
It is understood that the "Yandu Xuanji" intangible cultural heritage forum is hosted by the Zigong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and undertaken by the Municipal Library. The theme of the third phase of the event is "Fun Tie-Dye Ingenuity Inheritance".
During the day's activities, Cao Dongqiong, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage Zigong tie-dye Ziliujing District, told the children about the relevant knowledge of Zigong tie-dyeing, and explained in detail the materials and techniques of tie-dyeing, including how to make different colors and patterns through cloud rubbing, braiding flowers and other binding methods.
A cloth and a thread, a tie and a dye, are all inheritance. Under the leadership of Cao Dongqiong, the children carefully folded and tied the white T-shirts, and then rinsed and dyed. After everyone's ingenuity and creativity, a unique color pattern was painted, and the uniqueness and randomness of tie-dye art also brought many surprises to everyone.
The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Library said that he hoped that through such activities, children would know and understand Zigong tie-dyeing skills, experience the beauty of labor creation, strive to be the guardians, inheritors and practitioners of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and tell Chinese stories well in the protection and utilization of cultural heritage.
