A few days ago, Jeep released the official picture of the Polaris version of the model developed based on the Liberty Man and the Compass. As a special edition, both models have been tweaked mainly in terms of exterior colors and interior details. Among them, the price of the Freeman Polaris Edition is 35,600 euros (about 280,000 yuan), and the price of the Compass Polaris Edition is 41,350 euros (about 320,000 yuan).

According to foreign media reports, the current Jeep Freelancer and Compass will reach a total production of 1 million units by the end of 2024, and in order to commemorate this occasion, Jeep has created a special edition of Polaris for the two models. From the outside, both the Freelancer and the Compass are available in a new green livery, with details of the vehicle being blackened at the same time, and a matte black sticker has been added to the middle of the bonnet. Jeep says that in addition to being decorative, the sticker can also reduce some of the impact of glare on the driver.

Inside, the Liberty and Compass Polaris Special Editions feature new green fabric wraps in the seats and centre console, stitching treatment, and a 'North Star' lettering print on the seat backrests. In addition, the two models are equipped with rear privacy glass, exclusive floor mats, sunroof, front and rear parking sensors as standard.

In terms of power, both the Freeman and the Compass Polaris Special Edition are available with two powertrains: mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid. Specifically, the e-Hybrid mild hybrid power system consists of a 1.5T engine and a 48-volt motor, with a maximum power of 130 horsepower for the 1.5T engine, and a 4xe plug-in hybrid power system consisting of a 1.3T engine and an electric motor, with a comprehensive power of 190 horsepower and 240 horsepower for the Compass, and a model with a comprehensive system power of 240 horsepower. Both models have an all-electric range of about 50 kilometers in WLTP mode.

With GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co., Ltd. filing for bankruptcy in 2022, the Liberty and Compass series will be discontinued in China. At present, Jeep brand models are imported and sold directly in the domestic market. Previously, the teaser image of the new generation of compass has been exposed, this car will be replaced in 2025, and the new car powertrain will be compatible with fuel, gasoline-electric hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric systems.
