"Strictly abide by the party's discipline and keep the party's secrets" is the solemn promise made by every party member when he takes the oath to join the party. Whether it is the selection and employment of personnel, the work of discipline review, or the work of patrol inspection, there is a strict discipline of confidentiality. The "Regulations on the Selection and Appointment of Party and Government Leading Cadres" stipulate that in the selection and appointment of party and government leading cadres, it is not allowed to privately disclose relevant information such as research and judgment, motions, democratic recommendations, democratic evaluations, inspections, deliberations, and discussions and decisions on cadres. The "Rules for the Supervision and Enforcement of Discipline by the Discipline Inspection Organs of the Communist Party of China" stipulate that supervision and discipline enforcement personnel are not allowed to privately retain clues on problems and materials involved in the case, and it is strictly forbidden to leak the information of the review and investigation work, and discipline inspection cadres must be severely dealt with for violating discipline such as keeping clues privately, leaking air, and violating safety and confidentiality regulations. The "Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Inspection Work" stipulates that inspection staff shall be punished if they retain inspection work materials without permission and leak undisclosed information related to inspection work. Party members and cadres must fully understand the extreme importance of the party's secrets and the responsibility of confidentiality on their shoulders, keep tight-lipped about matters that have not yet been made public, and consciously build a strong line of defense against confidentiality.
