Recently, a set of road test spy photos of AVATAR's new models were obtained from the Internet, and they may be named AVATR 08 in the future. The new model is positioned as a midsize sedan and is expected to be released in 2025. It is powered by a single- and dual-motor four-wheel drive system and a range-extender hybrid system.
In terms of appearance, the new car is too tightly camouflaged to be seen in any detail, and from the general outline, the overall shape looks like a smaller version of the AVATR 12. The front face is convex and the closed front grille looks more sporty, and at the same time highlights the identity of new energy. New headlight clusters are expected on both sides. In addition, it is expected that LiDAR will be added to the center of the front surround, as well as the left and right front fenders on both sides, to support high-end intelligent driving systems.
The straight waistline of the body looks very powerful. The low body design, large fastback tail design, and hidden door handles show the beauty of sportiness. Wide wheel arches, ultra-high ground clearance, rich in good passing ability. At the rear, it is expected to adopt a new through-type taillight cluster similar to the AVATR 11.
In terms of interior, from the perspective of spy photos, the new car will adopt the interior design style of AVATR 12, with a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic wide screen in the center console, and a design layout with a super-large floating central control screen. In terms of equipment, it is equipped with HarmonyOS 4.0 in-vehicle system.
In terms of powertrain, the new car is expected to use the same powertrain as the AVATR 07. AVATR 07 is available in two power versions: extended-range version and pure electric version, of which the extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5T extended-range hybrid system, in which the maximum power of the engine is 115kW, the combined maximum power of the system is 346kW, 477kW, and the battery pack with a capacity of 39.05kWh, the maximum range of CLTC pure electric is 230km. The all-electric version is equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel drive system with a maximum output of 252kW and a dual-motor four-wheel drive system with a maximum output of 440kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate super-rechargeable battery pack launched by CATL, with a maximum electric range of 650km.
