In today's digital era, WeChat Pay has been deeply integrated into our lives. Whether it is daily shopping, catering consumption, or travel payment, WeChat can easily complete the payment with a sweep, which has brought us great convenience. However, convenience also comes with certain safety risks. If you don't take precautions, WeChat may be automatically deducted, and there is even a risk of being stolen. Today, I will give you a detailed introduction to the 4 switches that must be set in WeChat Pay to make your balance and bound bank card more secure.
Nowadays, we don't need to carry cash with us when we go out, we can travel all over the world with just a mobile phone. But if your phone is lost or stolen, it's a problem. As long as the criminals open our WeChat wallet, click to receive and pay, and the merchant can easily swipe away the money in our WeChat with a code scanner or some code scanning tools on the Internet. If WeChat is also bound to a bank card, the funds in the bank card are also at risk of being swept away. Imagine how terrible it is to imagine that your hard-earned wealth can be stolen by someone else in an instant.
1. Set up a security lock to add the first line of defense to your WeChat wallet
In order to avoid this from happening, we first need to set a security lock for WeChat. Here's how to do it: click on "Services", then "Wallet", then "Consumer Protection". In this interface, you can see "Security Assurance", and after clicking on it, you will find that the security lock is not opened. We click on it, and here you can set up fingerprint unlock or gesture password unlock. However, it will be safer to set up fingerprint unlock because everyone's fingerprint is unique and not easy to be cracked by others. And if the gesture password is discovered by others, there is a risk of being cracked.
When setting the fingerprint unlock, check the fingerprint first, then enter the payment password, and verify the existing fingerprint, and the setting is successful. After the setting is successful, go back and re-enter the WeChat wallet, and then you need to use fingerprint verification to enter. In this way, even if the mobile phone is lost, others cannot easily open our WeChat wallet, and the balance in the WeChat wallet and the bound bank card will be more secure.
2. Hide the amount of change and protect the privacy of personal property
Sometimes, we may have a large or small amount of change, and we don't want to be seen by others for privacy reasons. At this time, we can click on "Wallet" again to enter "Consumer Protection", and in the "Security Guarantee" interface, you can see "Amount Privacy Protection" under the security lock. It is not enabled by default, we click on it and turn on the switch behind "Hide the amount below the wallet entrance". In this way, we ourselves can see how much change we have in our wallet, but others can't see it.
Protecting the privacy of one's property is not only a security measure, but also a kind of respect for one's own life. We don't want our finances to be snooped on, and with this simple setting, we can effectively protect our privacy.
3. Close password-free payment to prevent inexplicable deductions
Although passwordless payment has brought us convenience to a certain extent, if we don't turn off this switch, we may be inexplicably deducted some money, and we don't know what is going on. The operation method is to click on the "Payment Settings" below on the wallet interface, find "Passwordless Payment", and click on it. On this screen, you can see which password-free payments you have already activated. For example, we have opened password-free payment on some apps. If you want to close, click on the service of this APP, then click "Turn off the deduction service", and then click "OK to close", so that the closure is successful.
You must use this method to check what password-free services are automatically deducted in your WeChat, and close them in time. This avoids unnecessary financial losses and makes our consumption clearer.
4. Check the WeChat account of ID card registration to prevent information theft
The last switch is to check how many WeChat accounts have been registered with the ID number, and whether there are any WeChat accounts that are not used by me. Click "Consumer Protection" on the wallet interface, and you can see the "Help Center" after entering. Click "Help Center", and you can see that there is a "real-name question" in this interface, that is, you can query and manage the accounts under your name. Click in, the first one is real-name authentication, if WeChat does not have real-name authentication, you can do real-name authentication from here. We need to check the account under our name, that is, to check the WeChat Pay account bound to the ID card.
After clicking in, click "Go to query", enter my name and ID number, click Next, and after passing the face verification, you can enter the query interface. Here you can see that there are several WeChat Pay accounts bound to the name of the ID card. It should be noted that one ID number can only be bound to a maximum of 5 WeChat Pay accounts. Therefore, we must regularly check whether the ID card information has been stolen, and whether it has been fraudulently used by others to register another WeChat account to engage in fraud or illegal activities, so as not to bring us losses. If you find that you are not using the WeChat ID, you must click the clear option at the back to delete it in time.
