Wang Zhijian, born in 1958, is a native of Xiangxiang, Hunan. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Hunan Normal University, his representative works have won the second prize awarded by the China Artists Association, the silver medal of the Ministry of Culture, the "Five Ones Project" award and gold medal of Hunan Province. He is currently a director of the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a national first-class painter, a director of the Hunan Provincial Artists Association, the director of the Gongbi Painting Art Committee of the Hunan Artists Association, the executive vice president of the Hunan Gongbi Painting Society, the vice chairman of the Hunan Flower and Bird Painters Association, the part-time vice chairman of the Xiangtan Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the chairman of the Xiangtan Artists Association, the president of the Qi Baishi Painting Institute, and the deputy curator and curator of the Qi Baishi Memorial Hall in Xiangtan City.
