When it comes to "Tang", the first thing most people think of may be "Tang Dynasty". But in fact, thousands of years ago, there was a place called "Tang Kingdom" in the land of China. Here in the Tang Kingdom, the mountains and rivers are beautiful and the land is fertile. And this "Tang Kingdom" is today's Tang County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. So what stories have happened in the Tang Kingdom established by Emperor Yao? Today we will peel back the cocoon from the literature and restore that era.
According to local chronicles such as the Ming and Qing Dynasties classics "Records of Tang County", "Records of Baoding Province", and "Chronicles of Qifu Tongzhi", Fangxun was enfeoffed as The Marquis of Tang under the Danfeng Mountain in Tang County. It is more than a dozen miles away from his birthplace of Qingdu Mountain, and on the north side there is the tall and stretched Danfeng Mountain as a natural barrier; in front of the mountain is a vast high flat land, and there is a Cao River in the middle, which is easy to farm and provides inexhaustible clay resources for firing pottery; the east and south are deep canyons for safety protection; the surrounding slopes are densely forested and dried and fresh fruit trees are fragrant in all seasons. In that year, Tang Yao was enfeoffed in this feng shui treasure land and built the tang city of Tangcheng; therefore, "Danfeng Mountain" was renamed "Fengshan Mountain", and the village was renamed "Fengzhuang".
Later, in the face of successive years of drought, tang marquis guozhi moved to the plain under the mountain on the bank of the Xiaoqing River, now the ancient city of Changgu, which is called "the city of Tang Yao's feudal state" in historical records; Tang Yao organized the Tang army to conquer the ten-day princes of Dongyi on the Shandong Peninsula and governed the Tang kingdom prosperously.
Regarding Tang County as the "Tang Kingdom", the modern scholar Wang Dayou is more specific in his "Era of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors" - Yao founded the Tang Kingdom (princely states) in present-day Tang County, Hebei. Its territory also included: the Shaohao clan qingyang clan Gao married the Tao Tang clan, because of the name Gao Tao, living in the east of Tang County - present-day Anguo, Anping, Anxin, Anzhou, Wen'an, Anci, Gu'an area. Tang County's Dongqingfengdian, Qingyuan, Qingxian, Yongqing, Wuqing, and Changli are also Shaohao Qingyang's juyi. The area of Tangshan, Tangfang, Tanghai, Fengtai Town, Fengrun and Fengnan is the northeastern settlement area of Jizhou in the Qingdu of the Chen Feng clan and his descendant Tao Tang clan.
Empress Dowager Yao and Empress Dowager Ying lived in present-day Baodai Township, Zhuolu County, Hebei Province, which was the northern boundary of the Tao Tang clan. Present-day Baixiang, Longyao, and Yaocheng in Hebei were the territory of Danzhu, the son of Yao, and the southern boundary of the Tao Tang clan. Tang Houyao set up "Lingshan Mountain" in the west of Tang County, liwen ancestral temple, and set up a heavenly worship center in Raoyang.
These documents fully show that present-day Tang County, Hebei Province, is the "Tang Kingdom", "Tang Hou Guo", "Ancient Tang Hou Guo", and "Yao Feng Kingdom" in the ancient Chinese period, which are widely recorded in historical books.
More than 4,000 years have passed, and the sons and daughters of Tang Yao, who guard this sacred place in Tang County, have inherited the culture of the ancient Tang Kingdom from generation to generation. The sweet spring water in the "Guyao Spring" of Qinglong Mountain, the "Yaomu Spring" of Qingdu Mountain, and the "Yaomu Lingjing" of Fengzhuang is still flowing. The nearly 500-meter city wall on the site of the ancient Tang Dynasty of Beichengzi, the remnants of the city wall of the First Emperor of Tangyao in the south and north (Gu) City, the nearly 2,000-meter city wall and the ancient stele of "Danzhu City" on the site of Danzhu City in Beihong City, the Shuiyun Cave where Tang Yao asked for xian to worship xu, and the huge stones left behind in Wangmutai on Tangyan Mountain continue to tell the story of Tang Yao.
