In order to commemorate the 140th anniversary of Lu Xun's birth, Huang Qiaosheng, director of the Lu Xun Museum, compiled and annotated the "Lu Xun Family Letter", which contains more than 100 family letters from Lu Xun to his family, and for the first time contains Lu Xun's letters to Li Licheng. Huang Qiaosheng said that there was a period when people consciously or unconsciously covered up lu Xun's warm side in order to shape Lu Xun's strong demeanor and the image of a fighter, and understanding Lu Xun's family letters allowed us to understand Lu Xun more comprehensively.

On November 26, 1914, Lu Xun received a letter from Zhu An, the specific content is unknown, Lu Xun only gave a two-word comment in his diary that day: "In the afternoon, I got a woman to write a book, and on the twenty-second day I got Zhu Zhaofa from the Ding family, which was quite absurd." Knowing that Lu Xun could not carry out written communication with his wife, his original wife wrote to him, and it was not difficult to imagine that he could only talk about some daily affairs by writing to him through others. From this, it is completely understandable how Lu Xun longed for a partner and a confidant after he lost peace with Zhou Zuoren in 1923.
In 1925, Xu Guangping, a student at the Beijing Women's Higher Normal School, began to shoot Cupid's arrow at Lu Xun by means of correspondence. After they fell in love, they used letters as a medium, from the same city to a different place, from teachers and students to lovers to partners, and got along for more than 10 years, as Lu Xun said, "Ten years of hand in hand to share hardships and dangers, and we can also mourn each other." One is a young man with a courageous personality, the other is a calm middle-aged man with a wife, and he is also a government official and a famous literary artist, and the two sides are teachers and students, and the age gap is nearly 20 years old, rumors are naturally inevitable, and internal and external pressure is not small. The two people who later lived in two places relied on letters to convey news, and the correspondence between Lu Xun and Xu Guangping recorded the hesitation and choice of the two in love, and talked about the world and human feelings. After living together, they compiled these letters into the Book of Two Places in chronological order, which was divided into three parts: Beijing-Beijing, Xiamen-Guangzhou, and Beijing-Shanghai.
Lu Xun said in the preface to the Book of Two Places: "We commemorate ourselves with this book, and we thank our well-meaning friends and leave it to our children to know the truth about our experience in the future." He also sent an exclamation: "Looking back on the past six or seven years, there have been many storms surrounding us, and in the continuous struggle, there are also those who help each other, those who go down the stone, and those who laugh and slander, but we have clenched our teeth, but we have also struggled to live for six or seven years." ”
Lu Xun also has a poem "Answering Guests", which responds to people's discussions about his doting children, but instead uses the metaphor of a beast: "Ruthlessness may not be true Haojie, how pitiful is not a husband." Those who know whether they are roaring in the wind or not, look back and look down on the smaller than the suo. "Lu Xun has both iron bones and soft intestines, and love and hatred are clear. He attacked society and rebelled against the darkness, but he still had hope and warmth in his heart, and when he resented the "banner of the changing king of the city", he also "faintly cried of motherhood in his dreams", and his heart was full of human feelings.

People's impression of Lu Xun is generally serious, sharp, and stereotyped, and his essays are even more likened to be daggers. Compared with his articles, Lu Xun's words are much more rounded, but the strokes of each word are not soft, and each stroke is carefully embedded in the small grid drawn on the paper.
