When it comes to Shanghai, everyone thinks of high-rise buildings, suits and shoes, but what everyone doesn't know is that there is a fun and free ancient town in Qingpu District of Shanghai, called Zhujiajiao Ancient Town.
Zhujiazhen Ancient Town has been a place of talents since ancient times, and in the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were a total of 16 jinshi and more than 40 people here, and these scholars left a rich cultural heritage.
This ancient town is built by Ming and Qing dynasty buildings by water, the ancient town of nine old streets by the water next to the river, more than a thousand houses built by the river, of which the North Street, also known as "first-line street", is the most complete preservation of the First Street of Ming and Qing architecture in the suburbs of Shanghai, its east from the Fangsheng Bridge, west to the Meizhou Lane more than 300 meters, is a typical Jiangnan old street.
Cimen Temple is the "Cimen Jie Pavilion" in the twelve views of Tsinghua Pavilion, a famous ancient temple in Zhujiajiao, located on the banks of the Fangsheng Bridge and the Caogang River, it is said that it was originally built during the Yuan Dynasty to the Zheng Dynasty, and was originally named "Mingyuan Nunnery".
Later, after several wars and turmoil, Cimen Temple gradually declined, and during the Republic of China, the temple was converted into a hospital, and only the main hall, bell tower and other buildings remained at the end of the 1940s. In the early 1950s, the county people's hospital was built on the site of the original temple, and now it is the inpatient department of Zhujiajiao People's Hospital, and only one male and female ancient ginkgo biloba remains on the old site.
Zhuxi Garden, located at the entrance of National Highway 318, was built after liberation and is another garden in Zhujiajiao Town in addition to the class plantation on Xijing Street.
The school plantation is a manor-style garden building, built in 1912, lasted 15 years, cost 300,000 yuan of silver, the garden sits west to east, the main wall door faces Xijing Street. Along the river there are boats, river ports, and stone barges. The whole manor is composed of three parts: the hall area, the artificial mountain area and the garden area.

Tai'an Bridge is located in front of the Mingzha Yuanjin Zen Temple at the mouth of the Caogang River. High and steep, it is the steepest stone arch bridge in the town, the bridge wall erected two pieces of flagpole stone, which is used for hanging street lamps, is the navigation mark of the passing ships, and the "flying marble stone" relief on the bluestone handrail on both sides of the bridge.
Han Da Long was founded in 1886, and the name of the shop on the wall is still written when it opened that year. In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, the brewing industry in Zhujiajiao developed rapidly. A group of sauce garden workshops led by Han Dalong will sell the brewed pickles all over the world.
