Pu Xiang (1398-1481) was a famous architect of the Ming Dynasty. He presided over the construction of the Forbidden City, the designer and builder of the Tiananmen Tower.
A native of Yufan Village, Wu County, Jiangsu (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu), Pu Xiang was a hereditary craftsman and served as a waiter in the Ministry of Works.
Main achievements: Yongle presided over the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing during the Yongle years.
