She also said that China will take the initiative to share relevant Information of the Chinese side through the newly opened lancang-mekong water resources cooperation information sharing platform website.
Originating on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Lancang River is called the Mekong River after leaving Xishuangbanna, flowing through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and finally into the South China Sea. On November 30, China, Myanmar and other five Mekong countries jointly launched the LMC water resources cooperation information sharing platform website in Beijing.
Hua Chunying said that at the third LMC leaders' video conference held in August this year, the six Lancang-Mekong countries unanimously agreed to jointly build an information sharing platform for water resources cooperation in order to strengthen the sharing of water resources data and technology among member countries, jointly cope with climate change and flood and drought disasters, and promote the rational development and sustainable use of Lancang-Mekong water resources.

Hua Chunying said that the LMC is born of water and is linked by water, and we are willing to work closely with the five coastal countries to protect, manage and develop the water resources of the basin with practical actions, discuss the development of the LMC, and better benefit the people of the Lancang-Mekong Basin.
