Haidu College, Qingdao Agricultural University
Haidu College Qingdao Agricultural University is a full-time undergraduate school. The college is located in Laiyang Campus of Qingdao Agricultural University, located in Laiyang, Jiaodong Peninsula, its predecessor is Laiyang Agricultural College, which was founded in 1951 and established as an independent college in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Haidu College of Qingdao Agricultural University is the birthplace of China's first cloned cow.
<h3>History of Laiyang Agricultural College</h3>
Laiyang Agricultural School (1951-1958) In June 1951, with the approval of the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Laiyang Agricultural School was established, with two majors: crops and fruit trees and vegetables. It is one of the first two secondary agricultural colleges in Shandong Province after the founding of New China, and is a key secondary school of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, under the leadership of the Department of Agriculture of Shandong Province.
Laiyang Agricultural College (1958-1963) On August 25, 1958, with the approval of the State Council, the school was reorganized into Laiyang Agricultural College, with four departments of agronomy, horticulture, animal husbandry and plant protection, and four majors of agronomy, fruit trees, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and plant protection, which were divided into undergraduate classes and specialist classes, which were subordinate to the leaders of the provincial and prefectural levels. The school site was moved from the south of Laiyang City to the former site of the laiyang prefectural committee in the east of the city.
Jimo Agricultural School, Jimo Animal Husbandry School, Qingdao Agricultural School, Yantai Animal Husbandry and Veterinary School, Laoshan Suburban Agricultural Technical School, and Penglai Agricultural School were successively merged into Laiyang Agricultural School in 1961 (Laiyang County Agricultural School was merged into the school in 1963). In 1962, the Department of Agricultural Mechanization of Laiyang Agricultural College was transferred to Shandong Agricultural Mechanization College (now Shandong University of Technology) together with the Department of Agricultural Mechanization of Shandong Agricultural College.
Laiyang Agricultural School (1963-1976) In September 1963, the People's Committee of Shandong Province implemented the eight-character policy of the CPC Central Committee of "adjusting, consolidating, enriching and improving", decided to suspend the Laiyang Agricultural College, merge with the Laiyang Agricultural School to re-establish the Laiyang Agricultural School, and set up five majors, including agronomy, fruit trees, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, accounting statistics, and agricultural machinery, which were under the leadership of the Yantai Bureau. In September 1968, the second branch of Shandong Socialist Labor University was merged into the school.

Laiyang Agricultural University (1976-1978) In May 1976, with the approval of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, on the basis of Laiyang Agricultural School, Laiyang Agricultural University was reorganized into Laiyang Agricultural University, with 5 departments of agronomy, horticulture, agricultural machinery, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, and water conservancy, with 1200 students and 555 teaching staff, including 177 full-time teachers. It is under the leadership of Yantai District.
Laiyang Agricultural College (1978-2007) In April 1978, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Laiyang Agricultural University was re-established as Laiyang Agricultural College. After 2005, Laiyang Agricultural College moved to Qingdao and established Qingdao Campus.
Laiyang Agricultural College Haidu College (2005-2007) In 2007, the address of Laiyang Agricultural College was officially moved to Qingdao, and Laiyang Agricultural College Haidu College was established on the original site.
Haidu College of Qingdao Agricultural University (2007-) In March 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Haidu College of Qingdao Agricultural University.
The Laiyang Campus of Qingdao Agricultural University (2014-) was approved to be upgraded to the Laiyang Campus of Qingdao Agricultural University in 2013, and officially became the Laiyang Campus of Qingdao Agricultural University in 2014.
