Dapeng Peninsula Municipal Nature Reserve was established in November 2010 with the approval of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, with a total area of 146.22 square kilometers, spanning Dapeng New Area and Pingshan District. Protected by tropical evergreen broad-leaved forests, rare and endangered wildlife and mangrove wetlands and their bird diversity.
This adjustment, which involves the needs of major engineering construction projects in Guangdong Province, plans to transfer 8.97 hectares of the experimental area of the protected area and 10.00 hectares of the experimental area of the protected area. After the adjustment, the area of the protected area increased from 146.22 square kilometers to 146.23 square kilometers.
