Zuo Shunsheng visited Yan'an and urged Mao Zedong to abandon his armedness, Chairman: I do not believe in heresy

1945 was an unforgettable year for Chinese. During the year, many earth-shattering events took place - the visit of the Nationalist government suffragettes to Yan'an, the defeat and surrender of Japan, mao Zedong's visit to Chongqing for negotiations...

In particular, the visit of National Government suffragettes Chu Fucheng, Huang Yanpei, Zhang Bojun, Leng Suan, Fu Sinian, and Zuo Shunsheng to Yan'an was nothing less than an ice-breaking trip and a sensation throughout the country for a time.

As early as 1944, 2.8 million American and British Allied troops landed in Normandy, France, opening up the second battlefield in Europe. The world anti-fascist war has taken a major turning point, and in the Chinese theater, due to the Kuomintang's insistence on implementing a short-sighted policy of passive resistance to Japan and active anti-communism, it led to a great rout in Yuxianggui, losing 500,000 to 600,000 troops, and public opinion at home and abroad was in an uproar.

In order to save the crisis, enhance the people's confidence in persisting in the war of resistance, and strive for the arrival of the final victory of the War of Resistance. At the National Participation Conference in Chongqing, CPC deputy Lin Boqu put forward a proposal to abolish the Kuomintang's one-party dictatorship and establish a democratic coalition government, and the democratic parties immediately responded to the CPC's proposal. The leaders of the Democratic League, Zhang Lan and Zhang Bojun, issued a statement: "Only by immediately convening a national assembly and implementing a coalition government can we save the crisis!" ”

It was against this background that six members of the National Government, chu fucheng, Huang Yanpei, Zhang Bojun, Leng Suan, Fu Sinian, and Zuo Shunsheng, took a special plane to Yan'an. They do not represent the Suffragettes, much less the Government, they come in the private capacity of democrats.

Suffragettes of the National Government visited Yan'an

On July 1, 1945, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai, Zhang Wentian and other CCP leaders arrived at Yan'an Airport early.

Zhang Wentian smiled and said to Mao Zedong: "Chairman, do you remember?" This Zuo Shunsheng who came today is still our old acquaintance! "Remember, remember, he is my Hunan compatriot, and the two of us are still the same Geng (the same age)!" "I still remember that he was the editor-in-chief of "Young China", and you also published the masterpiece "Divorce Problem" on it! Oh, you were an emotional expert at that time! After saying that, Mao Zedong and Zhang Wentian looked at each other and laughed loudly...

The Zuo Shunsheng mentioned by Mao Zedong and Zhang Wentian was then the head of the Chinese Youth Party, and together with Zeng Qi and Li Huang, he was called the big three of the Chinese Youth Party. In Yan'an this time, Zuo Shunsheng's identity is the secretary general and acting chairman of the Democratic League.

Zuo Shunsheng, the character Shunsheng, alias Zhongping, is a native of Changsha, Hunan. In 1913, he entered the French Department of Shanghai Aurora University. In July 1919, together with Yun Daiying, Mao Zedong, Zhang Guotao, Li Dazhao, Zhang Wentian, etc., he initiated the organization of the Young China Society, and served as the editor-in-chief of "Young China". In 1923, together with Zeng Qi, Li Huang and others, he initiated the organization of the Chinese Youth Party.

As early as his youth, Zuo Shunsheng showed that he was shrewd and sleek, and was good at playing with duplicitous techniques. Zuo Shunsheng, zeng qi and Li Huang were both university classmates and founders of the Chinese Youth Party.

Zuo Shunsheng

Al-Shabaab was often attacked during the Beiyang government. Zuo Shunsheng was afraid of being caught, but he also wanted to sell his reputation. So he asked Li Huang to hold a meeting in his home to discuss current affairs, and on the other hand, he used the excuse that he was too busy at work and only occasionally met with everyone.

Sure enough, Zuo Shunsheng's "bitter heart" was not in vain. In 1927, after the Kuomintang launched the "Qing Party", the Youth Party was also among the crackdowns, Zeng Qi was arrested and imprisoned for his active activities; Li Heng was wanted and died in exile. Zuo Shunsheng, however, was safe because of his "obscurity" and at the same time retained his leadership position in the Youth Party.

Later, the other leaders of al-Shabaab disappeared for a time. At this time, Zuo Shunsheng took a different approach, took advantage of his "literati" strengths, wrote a big book in the newspaper about Chiang Kai-shek's great achievements, and used a "Slander of the Current Situation" to justify the "Tanggu Agreement" signed between Chiang Kai-shek and Japan: The signing of the agreement between Huang Yibai (Huang Yan) and Japan has its own unspeakable points, and it is indeed an irresponsible act to rebuke him in vain.

Chiang Kai-shek also repaid Li with a peach, praising Zuo Shunsheng: "Think deeply and far ahead, and admire him." He also promised: "When I have the opportunity, I will invite Mr. Zuo to serve in the government and make more contributions to the country." ”

Zuo Shunsheng was grateful to Chiang Kai-shek and praised him as a great figure today and one of the greatest leaders in the world.

That night, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and others hosted a banquet in Yangjialing, Yan'an, to entertain the six political participants.

Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and others hosted a banquet at Yangjialing in Yan'an to entertain the six political participants

It is said that it is a banquet, but in fact, there are only four dishes. In addition to pumpkin, potatoes, and greens, the meat dish only has a pot of stewed old hens. The wine is Yan'an's own brewing "burning knife", the degree exceeds 60 degrees, take a sip, immediately feel like a fire in the throat, the whole body is warm.

Chu Fucheng, Huang Yanpei, and others were greatly touched to see that the Communist Party leaders in Yan'an were so simple in their lives, and bluntly said that China's hope was in Yan'an.

Mao Zedong picked up a piece of chicken and put it in Zuo Shunsheng's bowl, smiled and said, "Lao Geng, how does it taste like our native chicken in Yan'an?" ”

Zuo Shunsheng nodded his head in thanks as he said, "Mr. Runzhi, the contemptible people believe that there can be more than one political party in a country, but the army cannot have every political party." Otherwise, civil unrest will occur and the country will not be peaceful. Mao Zedong sat there listening intently and did not make a sound. Zuo Shunsheng saw that Mao Zedong did not answer the call, thought that his words had played a role, and continued to agitate his tongue: "We, the Youth Party, advocate taking the parliamentary road, not being armed, becoming a real political party of the country, and posing no threat to the National Government. ”

Mao Zedong lit a cigarette, took a deep breath and said, "You mean we want us to learn from your Youth Party as well?" "Peaceful deliberations are not a threat to the government, and they are also conducive to the unity of all parties!" Mao Zedong heard Zuo Shunsheng's voice, and he said calmly: "I also advocate that a country has only one army, but it depends on whose hands the army is in and for whom it serves." You must know that an unarmed political party has no strength, and those who are regarded by Chiang Kai-shek as bandits and chaotic parties cannot survive at all without a little armedness of their own, let alone have the right to speak and transform society. Lao Geng, you, the 'military master' of the Youth Party, how come you don't even understand this truth! ”

Zuo Shunsheng was very dissatisfied, and said to himself, "Mr. Jiang is a giant in the world today, and he also agrees with my point of view!" ”

Mao Zedong shook the soot in his hand and said in a mocking tone, "It seems that you have a lot of friendship with Mr. Jiang!" He always thought that there was no two days in the sky, and there was no two lords in the people, and I did not believe in evil, but I wanted to show him two suns! These few rotten guns of mine can fight both the Japanese and the Americans, and the first step is to drive Hurley away. ”

Zuo Shunsheng was unwilling and asked in a slightly threatening tone, "Suppose Mr. Jiang asked you to go to Chongqing to talk, will you go or not?" Mao Zedong's answer was very painful: "As long as he has a telegram to me, why should I not go?"

Everyone saw that Mao and Zuo were talking so fiercely, and they all revolved around the issue of national construction, and you and I offered words and suggestions one after another, and the atmosphere at the banquet became warm.

The next day, Peng Dehuai accompanied the delegation to walk around and take a look around Yan'an. Along the way, the members of the delegation saw rows of cave dwellings under the high slopes of the loess soil, which were shabby but uniform; the pedestrians on the street were dressed in coarse cloth clothes, and although the style was strange, the faces of the people were full of joyful smiles.

At the Yan'an "Supply and Marketing Cooperative", Zuo Shun met his Hunan compatriot Ding Ling, who was the first cultural worker to go to Yan'an.

Ding Ling was wearing a military uniform made of coarse cloth, her face tanned, but full of energy. Ding Ling acted as a guide for Zuo Shunsheng and briefed her on the living conditions of the yan'an soldiers and civilians: here, everyone practiced the wartime rationing system, and all the necessities of daily life were rationed by the public. Patients, mothers and children can also receive eggs and milk. They ate a large pot of rice in the big kitchen, and as long as they went to any organ to eat with a meal ticket, they did not have to pay. Each of their staff members is still entitled to a monthly allowance, of course, which is a small amount of money. A writer like her can also receive a certain amount of writing fees. There is a small market in Yan'an, there are some grocery stores, and there are several small restaurants where you can buy and sell freely and improve your food.

Yan'an and his party left a deep and beautiful impression on Chu Fucheng, Huang Yanpei and others. They witnessed with their own eyes the optimistic and united spiritual outlook of the yan'an military and people under the leadership of the Communist Party, even in such a difficult environment, and the equal, arduous and simple style of life of officers and soldiers. It was refreshing, something they had never seen before.

They praised from the bottom of their hearts: The CCP's political style has changed. Not to change to something else, but to change to the ordinary. The final conclusion is that the trip to Yan'an is "like sitting in the spring breeze".

After the visit, Mao Zedong personally sent off, and he also specially brought him and Jiang Qing's daughter Li Ne. Li Ne was polite, waving goodbye to the six guests with a sweet smile on her face.

A few months later, as Zuo Shunsheng asked, Mao Zedong answered. With a fearless revolutionary spirit, Mao Zedong accepted Chiang Kai-shek's invitation and resolutely went to Chongqing to negotiate with Chiang Kai-shek, opening a new page in history.

After Zuo Shunsheng returned, he quickly reported to Chiang Kai-shek on his trip to Yan'an. Of course, what came out of his mouth was some slanderous words.

Soon, he went so far as to lead the National Youth Party to break away from the "Democratic League" and, as the leader of the independent Youth Party, resolutely supported Chiang Kai-shek's "constitutional" policy in exchange for the post of minister of agriculture and forestry in Chiang Kai-shek's government.

However, only two years later, with the collapse of the Chiang family dynasty, he also dispersed and ran to Hong Kong with a roll.

In his later years, Zuo Shunsheng's life was very depressed, and he once opened a grocery store called "Rongkang Store" to make a living. He originally had a collection of celebrity calligraphy and paintings and rare books, all of which were regarded as treasures. Once, he took out a set of beautifully printed wire-bound books "The Complete Works of Taibai" and said to a friend: "If one day I am financially strapped, I will also endure the pain of cutting love." He also pointed to Xu Beihong's painting "Running Horse" on the wall and said: "Xu Beihong's paintings have become rare in recent years, and everyone regards them as treasures. If someone is willing to pay HK$5,000, I will also sell it. Watch out for me to see who appreciates this painting! ”

When he saw in the newspaper that Huang Yanpei and Zhang Bojun were the vice premiers and the minister of communications of New China respectively, he was very sad in his heart, regretting that he should not have been short-sighted at the beginning, and he hated himself even more for being too speculative and drilling camps, and in the end he ended up with a bamboo basket to hit the water.

Mao Zedong

He pinned his spirit on two things. One is playing mahjong, when he lived in Kowloon, sometimes he had a card addiction attack, and he was willing to cross the sea to Hong Kong Island to find someone. It was even more common to stay up all night, making him yellow and thin, sometimes too devoted, and even mistakenly wrote those anti-communist articles.

Some friends often advised him, but he said, "Didn't you listen to what old mr. Right Ren said?" If everyone puts their energy on mahjong, the world will be too peaceful! ”

The second is to recognize "dry daughters", and the "dry daughters" he recognizes are some young and beautiful women, in addition to Chinese women, there are also some foreign girls. Once, when he went to Japan on a business trip, he recognized a "dry daughter" in Japan. Some people think that he has no children under his knees, but in fact, he has both children and daughters, and he has given birth to five sons and two daughters in his lifetime. In fact, Zuo Shunsheng's recognition of "dry daughter" is nothing more than a cover for his consistent self-proclaimed "lustful and not obscene, and affectionate and polite".

It is said that poetry can speak, and Zuo Shunsheng, in his later years, once wrote:

"Soft water warm mountain, Danfeng white dew, sea boat dotted Shenzhou Road, who said that the wanderer forgot to return?" Guifan is always mistaken by the autumn wind. The turbid wine rests, idle complaints, and the entertainment puts the decadence together. Clean up your home from scratch and think that it may not be the fault of others. ”

I don't know if Mr. Zuo Shunsheng really realizes that his life is a bit Meng Lang?
