Two Hometowns, One Round bright moon - Read Wang Gongwang's essay collection "The Moon is hometown Ming" / Wei Ransen

My friend Wang Gongwang returned from the United States and was still in normal isolation under the "new crown epidemic" in Shanghai, so he arranged for relatives and friends in Yishui to send me his newly published prose collection "The Moon is hometown Ming". Holding the book in hand, the first feeling is that the cover design of the book is too good, concise, atmospheric, elegant, warm, but also a little Zen, with the style of everyone's work. The second was that the title of the book hit my heart, and a gentle warm current overflowed from the bottom of my heart and slowly surged throughout my body. The book has not been read, and the beauty of seeing relatives has first taken deep roots in the heart.

The moon is the hometown of Ming. Everyone has a hometown, no one does not love their hometown, and no one does not feel that the moonlight in their hometown is the most beautiful. Gongwang was originally from Jiangnan, and in a special era and under special circumstances, he was just born from Suzhou, one of the "heavens on the top, Suzhou and Hangzhou on the bottom", and was carried to the Yimeng Mountains, which was still very poor and backward at that time, and made sons to a poor couple in the countryside for half a hundred years. As a result, his hometown has two, one is Suzhou and the other is Yimeng Mountain. But the bright moon in his hometown is only one round, and this round of bright moon moves with his kind and simple heart, and wherever he goes, this round of bright moon follows. His love is focused on this round of bright moon, and his love is focused on this round of bright moon, so he has this "Moon is hometown Ming".

"The Moon is hometown Ming" is divided into seven series of 78 works, starting with "The Legend of the Love of Chinese Children and Daughters, the Story of Overseas Wanderer Roots" that went to Suzhou to find relatives, expressing not only the author's deep affection for Yimeng Mountain and Suzhou, but also his impressions of overseas, his recollection of family affection, monologues about love, his perception of life, his thinking on art, and his telling of the root of life. The convergence of all kinds of emotions exudes a touching and profound extraordinary power under the illumination of the bright moon, which makes people move, sigh, and make people contemplate. Let us understand him more deeply, and more truly touch his heart and feelings of thousands of rivers and mountains.

I personally write novels, and I don't write a lot of prose, but I've always felt that emotion is the temperature of prose. Prose without emotion cannot be good prose. Gongwang's pen end is full of affection, so that every article is like a moon, gentle, long, and irresistibly touching the softest part of your heart, igniting your reverie of nostalgia, family affection, friendship, love, and artistic feelings, white and soft, warm and hot, subtle and full, sweet and free.

We often say, "Literature is the art of language." "For prose, language is not only art, but also her demeanor. Grace contains grace. After several years of getting along and knowing each other, daily bits and pieces, Mr. Gongwang has always given me the feeling of being a person with grace and temperament who is full of "honesty, frankness, love and hatred". Wen is like a person, his words give his articles grace, and the demeanor of his articles brings out his personal temperament. Reading every article in the book, the author is in front of me, his voice and smile, his temperament, and his pattern realm are all connected with me one by one, so that I have respect for him from the heart.

The aesthetic height of an author determines the height of the articles he writes. Mr. Gongwang is a very highly connoisseur and collector of paintings and calligraphy, and his aesthetic of art is naturally extraordinary, so his prose sees true feelings in the ordinary, elegance in simplicity, wisdom in simplicity, writing mothers, writing fathers, writing wives, writing children, writing about the countryside, writing overseas, writing about friends, writing about families, writing is love, writing is true, and opening words is beautiful. There is no ego swallowing and spitting, and it is difficult to see narrow complaints of private anger. Those who have climbed high mountains do not care about hills; how can those who sail in the sea account for rivers and ditches? Wang Gongwang's overseas experience and Wang Gongwang's level of appreciation of calligraphy and painting have made him quite high in the realm, and this height has also given him prose.

There is a sentence in the "Chronological Chapter" of the "Wenxin Carved Dragon": "The change of literature is stained with the world, and the rise and fall of the dragon is related to the chronological order." "What do you mean?" My personal understanding is that a person who writes an article will be affected by the society in which he lives, and will be infected by the atmosphere of the times. Then the prince is different from us, he is a person who wanders in the two different social environments of the East and the West, and he is immersed in culture, not only in China, but also in Europe and the United States. So will the thoughts and emotions he writes be extreme, chaotic, and even contemptuous of some of the things we value? No. He has a heart that embraces traditional Chinese culture and a heart that loves the motherland and his hometown as clear as the moon. The writing is ever-changing, dyed with the world conditions of the Chinese, related to the timing of the Chinese homeland, and bringing readers a rational and soft hometown, national righteousness, and patriotism. Without going through the whole book, just by reading a short article "The Story of the Roots - To My Children Overseas", you can deeply feel this feeling. This is really precious, and it really makes those of us who insist on China's heart have to respect him in awe.

"The Moon is hometown Ming", the round of the moon from the hometown is bright in the author's pure, pure and innocent emotions, and also bright in the depths of the author's wisdom, rationality and nobility. I am very much looking forward to Mr. Gongwang's more "Moon is hometown Ming" coming out.
