Drama Single World: Zhao Yanxia sings "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang"

In February 1980, four performances in honor of Mr. Ma Lianliang were held at the Beijing Workers' Club, which were advertisements published in newspapers that year. Because no drama list was found, it was replaced by advertising. The repertoire of the four performances is "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang", "Zhao Orphan", "Qunying Will Borrow the East Wind", and "Ten Old An Liu". The cast of these four plays is the most special in "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang", and the roles played by many famous actors are rare, so they have received great attention from the audience. Ma Zhiliang, Wang Helin and Yan Shaopeng, who played Qiao Xuan and Lu Su respectively, were all early students of Ma Lianliang, and they were all in other places for a long time, and the audience in the capital was relatively unfamiliar. After playing Zhao Yun, the famous martial artist Li Wanchun, had just returned to Beijing from Inner Mongolia. Tan Yuanshou and Yuan Shihai were naturally the best candidates for Liu Bei and Zhang Fei. The role of Zhou Yu is generally played by Ye Shaolan, and this time it is Liu Xuetao, a small student of the Jiang Sect, who is considered to change the "taste" for the audience. Playing the role of Sun Shangxiang is Ma Lianliang's younger daughter Ma Xiaoman. In addition, Zhou Hetong, who plays Sun Quan, Zhang Binjiang, who plays former Zhao Yun, and Geng Shihua, who plays Guo tai, are all old people in the Beijing Peking Opera Troupe. The most peculiar thing is that playing the former Sun Shangxiang is the famous Huadan Zhao Yanxia of his own faction. According to Zhao Yanxia's recollection, her peers have never seen her play Sun Shangxiang in "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang", and such a "big Green Coat" does not know how she plays, and some people even say that Zhao Yanxia playing Sun Shangxiang is playing chess on the Go board - the wrong number of roads. In fact, in the early years, Zhao Yanxia had studied a lot of Qingyi opera from Teacher Li Lingfeng, and because of his solid learning, although he had not acted for more than thirty years, he still remembered it in his heart. Before this performance, Zhao Yanxia asked Li Muliang to rearrange and design the six sentences [Xipi Slow Plate] that Sun Shangxiang appeared on. Zhao Yanxia listened to the recording of Mr. Mei Lanfang's play again, and learned how Mr. Mei portrayed the character's solemnity, depth, generosity and grace and magnificence through the sound cavity. She also borrowed a turn in front of Mr. Cheng Yanqiu's performance of "Farewell Palace" and a small step of the Moon Gate, and a squat step behind the small round field, which is more in line with the specific scene of the people in the play, and Zhao Yanxia's Sun Shangxiang was recognized by the audience.
