A few days ago, when the technical personnel of the Longyang Branch of the Baoshan Management and Protection Bureau of Gaoligong mountain national nature reserve sorted out the infrared camera data, they found some gratifying pictures, the national second-level key protected wild animal white stork and the national three protected animal wild boar not only increased in population, but also they coexisted harmoniously, and even peacefully had "dinner" in the same territory, which was really enviable.
In the picture, two wild boars are concentrating on foraging, and not far away, four white birds stroll idly, leisurely staring at the wild boar, they are waiting for the upcoming feast.
"In this shot, we see two wild boars on the ground looking for food, mainly oak fruits, and some plant rhizomes, and after they have finished eating, the insects and earthworms are exposed. The four white orioles waiting leisurely in the distance can enjoy a delicious meal without any effort. Tang Jianyan, director of the Dam Bay Management and Protection Station of the Longyang Branch of the Baoshan Management and Protection Bureau of Gaoligong Mountain National Nature Reserve, said that through this picture, it can be seen that in the Gaoligong Mountain Nature Reserve, animals can coexist harmoniously.
According to reports, the monitored white oriole was listed in the "IUCN" Red List of Threatened Species in 2012 and is low-risk, mainly inhabiting subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests below 2000 meters above sea level, and mainly inhabiting mountain broad-leaved forests at an altitude of 1600-2700 meters in Gaoligong Mountain, Yunnan, especially in evergreen broad-leaved forests with dense forests and sparse understory plants, mainly eating insects, plant stems and leaves and fruit seeds
"In the past, the number of wild boars in front of the infrared camera lens was not too large, but now we have found wild boars in front of the camera in different monitoring points at the same time, there are groups of three or five, and there are pups." Tang Jianyan said happily that the white storks also appeared in groups of three or five in the camera, and there were also white oriole mothers with young chicks, and the most monitored was that 10 appeared in the camera screen at the same time.
It is reported that when the staff sorted out the infrared camera pictures and videos this time, they found that the 9 monitoring points of the Dam Bay Pipe Protection Station all captured the pictures of the white storks happily swimming among the bushes and the wild boar foraging freely, of which the white stork and the wild boar appeared in the same plot of land to coexist harmoniously. Through years of monitoring, the staff found that with the implementation of various conservation measures, the ecological environment is getting better and better, and biodiversity is greatly enriched.
