The book "Red Funing" was compiled by the CPPCC national committee of our county and was designated as a must-read book for the study and education of party history in our county. In order to solidly promote the high-quality development of party history study and education, and effectively help the majority of party members and cadres in the county to really study party history, especially local party history, the Funing County CPPCC Committee specially launched the "Red Funing I Don't Forget the Party's Grace and Follow the Party" party history study and education column to "tell" funing local party history.
The former site of the establishment of the Yanfu District Youth Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association
The Yanfu District Youth Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association was established at the former site of Guoshu Zhangzhuang Primary School.
On April 6, 1942, the Yanfu District first established the Youth Research Association, which was mainly tasked with investigating the youth groups in various counties and preparing for the establishment of a training course for young cadres, convening young people who were enthusiastic about the youth movement to hold a youth work seminar, and discussing and clarifying the direction and methods of the youth movement in Yanfu District. On the 21st of the same month, under the planning of the Youth Studies Association, the Preparatory Committee for the Youth National Salvation Federation of Yanfu District was established. After the establishment of the association, at the end of April, a training course for young cadres in Yanfu District was held, with the content of political knowledge, youth issues, culture and entertainment, and nearly 200 young cadres were trained successively.
On September 30, Yanfu District established the Youth Anti-Japanese National Salvation Association, and held an inaugural meeting at Yanfu Lianli Middle School (Guoshu Zhangzhuang) in Funing County, with more than 300 people attending the meeting. Chen Yi, Liu Bin, Cao Diqiu, and fan Changjiang, a well-known journalist, attended the meeting and made speeches. In his speech, Chen Yi pointed out: The establishment of the Yanfu District General Youth Salvation Association is a manifestation of the unity of the young people of Yanfu. He called on the young people of Yanfu to inherit the fine traditions of the Chinese youth, actively participate in the construction of the base areas, and strive for their own interests and bright future in the course of struggle. In his speech, Liu Bin earnestly hoped that the vast number of young people in Yanfu would strengthen unity, make progress together, and develop and expand youth anti-Japanese organizations. After election, Wei Ping was elected as the president of the Yanfu District Youth Rescue Association, Wu Zhongming was the vice president, and there were several members of the executive committee.
After the establishment of the Yanfu District Youth Rescue Association, the first executive committee meeting was held, which clearly put forward the goal of developing and expanding the youth salvation members, and by October 1942, the counties and districts had formed a 100,000-strong army of young national salvation members, of which Funing County alone had nearly 50,000 members.
