Carry forward the characteristics of opera inheritance and create a classic genre inheritance repertoire. The 1984 edition of "Red Rock" was co-created by Yan Su, Wang Zengqi, Chi Jinsheng and Lu Songling, and co-starred by Tan Yuanshou, Ma Changli, Zhang Xuejin, Gao Baoxian and other veteran artists. After nearly 40 years, Xu Yunfeng, two generations of inheritors of Tan Pai art, Tan Xiaozeng and Tan Zhengyan, Du Zhenjie, a veteran and famous artist who has deeply grasped the essence of Mr. Ma Changli's old art, played Xu Pengfei, Mr. Zhang Xuejin's disciple, zhu Qiang, the current leader of Ma Pai's old students and the inheritor of Beijing's intangible cultural heritage, played Hua Ziliang, and Ni Shengchun, an outstanding veteran actor of Beijing Opera Theatre, played the roles created by previous artists in that year, which is the best embodiment of the orderly inheritance of Peking Opera genre art.

The modern Peking Opera "Xu Yunfeng" dance, lighting, costumes and styling all strive to fit the characteristics of the times and conform to the regional style of Sichuan and Chongqing. The design of the singing voice highlights the characteristics of the old school of singing, which is different from each other and has its own advantages. At the same time, the play integrates a variety of styles of music, such as Sichuan music, Qingyin, lantern opera, "International Song", the excerpts of "Zhu Curtain Village" in traditional plays, folk songs and rap elements, with smooth connection, full singing voice, both dynamic and infectious.
