Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Pursuing "Taiwan Independence" Is a Dead End Supporting "Taiwan independence" is the end of nowhere

There are reports that the leader of the Taiwan region admitted in an interview that the US military exists in Taiwan.

In this regard, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a regular news conference today (28 July) afternoon that the one-China principle is the political foundation of Sino-US relations. On the Taiwan issue, the US side should scrupulously abide by the one-China principle and the stipulations of the three Sino-US joint communiques, rather than unilaterally concocting anything itself. We resolutely oppose any form of official exchanges and military ties between the US side and the Taiwan region, and oppose US interference in China's internal affairs.

Recently, THE US warship has shown off its muscles in the Taiwan Strait on many occasions, provoked and stirred up trouble, sent serious wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" forces, and threatened peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait region. Who is engaged in coercion on the Taiwan issue? The international community sees it clearly.

Wang Wenbin stressed: Cross-strait reunification is the general trend of history and the right path. "Taiwan independence" is a counter-current of history and a dead end. The DPP authorities' act of plotting "independence" cannot change in the slightest the ironclad fact that Taiwan is a part of China, nor can it shake the stable pattern of the international community's universal recognition of the one-China principle. All those who have forgotten their ancestors and split the country have never had a good end, and engaging in "Taiwan independence" is a dead end, and supporting "Taiwan independence" is also a road of no return. No country or anyone should underestimate the strong determination, firm will and strong ability of the Chinese people to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, otherwise they will be defeated again.
