Xinhe Village, located in the southwest of Xintang Town, Zengcheng District, is about 1.5 kilometers away from the town government. Located in the hilly area on the north bank of the East River, it is located in the hilly area of the East River, with the main mountain range of Siwanggang and an altitude of 85.3 meters. The East River flows from the south of the village. In the 28th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1291), Xiong Wenqi, the ancestor of the Xinhe Village Temple, moved from Jiangxi to Dongguan, and later to Shabei Tianfeifang (Xiaomiao Society). The village was named Xinhe in 1955, and was once named He Bai Township, alias Yingbinfang. Shabei Village was once the largest village in Zengcheng, and now there are four administrative villages: Qunxing, Xinhe, Ganyong and Donghua.

The main surnames are Cham, Wu, Zhao and so on. At the end of 2015, the registered population of the village was 2846 people. Among them, 1424 are males and 1422 are females, and the actual population in the village is 1392. The non-registered foreign population is 2306 people. The villagers are Han Chinese, belonging to the Cantonese ethnic group and speaking the Cantonese dialect. There are 105 Hong Kong compatriots and 31 Macao compatriots whose ancestral home is in the village. There are 85 overseas Chinese living in the village, mainly distributed in New Zealand, Canada, Singapore and other countries.

The traditional economy is dominated by the cultivation of rice, vegetables, fruits, etc. Characteristic agricultural products are Siwanggang locust branches. In 1986, the entire village was expropriated by the state. At present, villagers often go out to work and engage in industrial production or commercial business activities.
National Highway G107, Guanghu Highway, Lixin Road, Shixin Road, Xintang Avenue, Jiefang North Road pass by the village, and the traffic is convenient. The village was connected to the telephone in 1959, electrified in 1960, piped water in 1984, hard-bottomed the village road cement in 1988, and connected to the network in 2006. There are complete cultural and sports facilities, including Xinhe Primary School, Highland Basketball Court and Gangjiao Basketball Court, Tennis Court, Xintang Park, Xiaomiao Cultural and Entertainment Center, Xinhe Village Elderly Activity Center and Farmhouse Bookstore (about 3,000 books).
There are 51 traditional houses in existence, and the representative residences are "LongguanDi" in Shitoufang, the ruins of Shangshu Zhanganquan Fudi and the Zhan Deng Gong (Ding Hong) residence. "Longguandi", built in the Qing Dynasty, covers an area of about 300 square meters, and is now dilapidated and uninhabited. Shang Shu Zhanganquan Mansion, founded in the Ming Dynasty, rebuilt in 1961, is now a registered cultural relics protection unit in Zengcheng District, covering an area of 10,000 square meters, with three halls and gardens. The main building inside the site is now Kikusen Junior High School. Juquan Middle School is named after Cui Jupo (崔同) and Zhan Ganquan (湛若水), two sages. Zhan Deng Zheng (Ding Hong) residence, built in the Qing Dynasty, is now a registered cultural relics protection unit in Zengcheng District, with green brick and stone feet, and the back of the house is in the shape of tea barrel ears, which is basically well preserved.

In the village, there is the Ancestral Hall of the Cham surname AiLian Hall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty, covers an area of 350 square meters, sits north to south, and is a two-entry hall pattern, with a broad entrance courtyard. The ancestral tablets of the original Cham clan were enshrined here, and from 1958 to 1960, it was the common land of the Xinhe Township Brigade, and it is now dilapidated and vacant. Every year around the Time of the Qing Dynasty, the Cham clan of Shitoufang holds a collective ancestor worship, and everyone goes to Zhongpitou Mountain on Yongning Street to worship the tomb of "Three Shangshu Zhanruoshui". Yingbinfang invited clans to unite with brothers from other places (such as Nan'an) to pay homage to his Taigong Mountain at Chenjialin Mountain in Nan'an.

The village's folk custom "Shuai Fu Ye" parade was formed in the Ming Dynasty, every year on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar, the villagers carry the "Shuai Fu Ye" (formerly "Yufeng Dao Guo Kang Shuai Zhenjun") and "Che Ye" (formerly "Nanchang Wufu Che Grand Marshal") around the thirteen places of Shabei Township, praying for smooth wind and rain in the coming year, and abundant grain.
In the village, there is the former site of the first party branch of the CPC Xintang area, which was founded in 1926 and is a cultural relics protection unit in Zengcheng District. The village is the place where the Village passed from the middle of the Ming Dynasty to Dongzhou Station. The ancient post road is now Xinhe Cun Highland Street, about 300 meters long, 12 meters wide, cement pavement.
The main characters of Xinhe Village are: Zhan Ruoshui (1466-1560), Ganquan, who served as an editor of the Hanlin Academy, and was an official in Nanjing. As a Ming dynasty scholar and educator, his doctrine and Wang Yangming are called "Wang Zhanzhixue", and he founded more than 40 academies in various provinces, with more than 3,000 disciples, and the "Zhanganquan Anthology" has survived.
