On September 23, 2021, hefei Comprehensive National Science Center Energy Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Energy Research Institute) and Anhui Energy Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Anhui Energy Group) held the unveiling ceremony of "Anhui Energy Collaborative Innovation Center" in Tongling Wanneng Tongling Power Generation Co., Ltd., and simultaneously launched the ammonia energy utilization power generation project.

Unveiling ceremony
The "Anhui Energy Collaborative Innovation Center" is jointly built by the Energy Research Institute and the Anhui Energy Group, and will focus on the research and development of key core technologies and related equipment in the fields of renewable energy, hydrogen energy, ammonia energy, energy storage, and electric power. Ammonia energy has broad application prospects in the fields of electric power, industry, transportation, and civil use, and the establishment of the Collaborative Innovation Center and the launch of the cooperation project have fired the first shot of green ammonia emission reduction, and will surely go to the province, the whole country, and the world in the future.
The first phase of the ammonia utilization power generation project plans to carry out ammonia 1% combustion power generation experiment in the 300,000-kilowatt unit of Wanneng Tongling Power Generation Co., Ltd., and the proportion of ammonia will be gradually increased in the follow-up. The project will become China's first thermal power plant ammonia-doped deep peak regulation demonstration project, and is expected to catch up with the progress of similar projects being developed in Japan and other countries. In the future, the two sides will explore and build a complete green industrial chain of "pit surface photovoltaic - green hydrogen - green ammonia - adjacent thermal power plant ammonia-doped power generation", promote the Experience of Tongling to Huainan, Ma'anshan and even the whole country, and contribute to anhui province to achieve the "double carbon" goal, win the blue sky defense war and complete the construction of "three places and one district".
