On the 19th, the Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation released the news that the Weilai high-speed railway is expected to open for operation on November 26, starting from Weifang North Station of Jinan-Qingdao High-speed Railway, east through Changyi City, Pingdu City, Laixi City, Shandong Province, and connecting with Qingrong Intercity LaiBei Station. The total length of the line is 125.4 kilometers, and there are four stations on the whole line, namely Weifang North, Changyi, Pingdu and Laibei (renamed Laixi after opening), of which Changyi and Pingdu are newly built stations, and the design speed of the line is 350 kilometers per hour. From November 16 to 18, the Jinan Bureau of the State Railway organized the operation safety assessment of the Weilai high-speed railway. Shandong Railway Investment Holding Group will organize the implementation of rectification according to the safety assessment opinions to ensure that the problems affecting operational safety are rectified before the opening of the traffic.
