At 10:00 a.m. on May 15, the 2021 National Chess Men's Championship Qualifiers ignited the first round of war in Yushu City, Jilin Province.
The tournament will run until May 18, when 12 teams compete for two qualifying spots. Each side basically takes 20 minutes, plus 5 seconds per step, and superfast chess takes 5 minutes per party, plus 3 seconds per step.
On paper, the 12 teams have national champions and grandmasters, and their strength should not be underestimated; some are all amateur chess players, and the competition experience is not enough. Referee Li Xiaoqiu said that in comparison, teams with extraordinarily large seats and experience in elephant armor competitions have more advantages in qualifying. But in the end, which two teams can enter the main competition depends on the on-the-spot performance.
