Liu Xia Hui, a sage and sage who existed in the Spring and Autumn Period and appeared earlier than the "Most Holy Ancestor" Confucius. This great sage, who was evaluated by Confucius as a "lost saint" and revered by Mencius as the "master of a hundred generations", is the male protagonist of the historical allusion - "sitting still and not chaotic".
According to the Chinese dictionary, "sitting in the womb without chaos" means that Yanagi Xia Hui wrapped the frozen woman in her arms without committing indecent behavior. Describe men as decent in their relationships. It is generally believed that this allusion comes from the "Book of Poetry, Xiao Ya Xiangbo" - "Why don't the sons of the children be huiran under the willow, and the concubines do not arrest the daughters of the door, and the Chinese people do not call it chaotic." ”
What does it mean to "the daughter of a woman who does not catch the door"? The neighbor is a widow who lives alone! But this is not directly related to the synopsis of the story of "sitting still".
Later, the "Xunzi Sketch" contains: "Yanagishita Hui and the backdoor are in the same clothes and do not see the doubts, not a day's news." According to the Tang Dynasty scholar Yang Liang, who first commented on the Xunzi, "the backdoor, the gentleman who guards the back door to the untouchable", it is said that Liu Xia Hui and the poor and the untouchable wear the same rough clothes, without being criticized for being disgraced. This has nothing to do with "sitting still".
It was not until the Yuan Dynasty that the story of "sitting in the heart and not chaos" formed a complete story synopsis:
Lu Liu Xia Hui, surnamed Zhan Xian, traveled to stay outside the door overnight. When it was very cold, suddenly a woman came to take care of her, and she was afraid that she would freeze to death, but she sat in her arms and covered it with clothes, so that she would not be chaotic.
It is said that on a cold night, Yanagishita Kei stayed at the city gate and met a homeless woman, Yanagishita Hui was afraid that she would freeze to death, told her to sit in her arms, unclothed her coat and wrapped her tightly, and sat together all night, without indecent behavior.
From the Spring and Autumn Period to the Yuan Dynasty, the story of Liu XiaHui's "sitting and not chaotic" was not formed at that time, why did it have such a detailed story record a thousand years later?
What is even more confusing is how the story of Yanagi Shimoe's "sitting still" is circulated?
The woman who was held in the arms of Yanagishita Hui, grateful to Yanagishita Hui's decency, and publicized it afterwards? In an age of traditional morality, a woman spends the night in the arms of a strange man and then hypes it up in spite of her innocence and reputation? No way!
Marveling at her own control and adherence to traditional morality, Yanagishita hypes it around for her own fame afterwards? Regardless of whether others believe that he "sits still and does not mess", the supreme evaluation of him by Confucius and Mencius alone is enough to prove that he will not disregard the reputation of a strange woman and only ruin the reputation of others for his own reputation!
That is to say, this "secret story" between only Yanagishita Hui and the strange woman cannot be widely circulated at all; even, the story of Yanagishita Hui's "sitting still" is basically fabricated by later generations, and it is a big lie that has been circulated for thousands of years.
For Yanagi Xiahui, the aura he has surpassed that of Confucius and Mencius, and is even regarded as the "master of a hundred generations", why should future generations still have to install a supreme merit of following traditional morality on him?
Please note the era when the story of "sitting and not chaotic" was formed- after the Song Dynasty, after the emergence of the "Cheng Zhu Lixue", which advocated "saving heavenly reason and destroying people's desires".
I also don't know what kind of wind Zhu Xi and the two brothers Cheng Hao and Cheng Yi smoked, and they concocted a set of moral theology, advocating that "starvation is small, and loss of discipline is big", and it is forced to handcuff feudal women with more severe and even ruthless shackles. What is even more absurd is that after the emergence of "Cheng Zhu Lixue", it quickly became a core component of traditional morality and became the legitimacy basis of Confucian theocracy and royal power
In order for the world to fully believe in and accept the "Cheng Zhu Lixue", those literati who have eaten enough and have nothing to do must set up one or more extreme examples to enhance their explanatory power, and Yanagi Xia Hui is the typical figure they have chosen after thousands of times.
There are several reasons why Yanagishita can be selected by those literati who have eaten enough and have nothing to do:
1. Yanagishita Ishito is a long time away from that time, and the story of "sitting in the air without chaos" has been impossible to verify, and the literati can say what they want to say.
2. Liu Xia Hui, a "sage" who was highly regarded by Confucius, the "Most Holy Ancestor", placed the story of "sitting in peace" on him, which is more convincing.
3. Putting aside the supreme evaluation of Confucius and Mencius, Liu Xiahui also served as a doctor of the Lu Kingdom, "ruling the country with etiquette and cultivating himself with faith"; he served as a Lu Guoshi teacher, "in charge of prisons, law enforcement with peace, and governance with virtue"; he himself was a walking "spokesman for traditional morality". Only by placing the story of "sitting and not chaotic" on Yanagi xia Hui is more reasonable; only Yanagi Xia Hui can reach the supreme realm that ordinary people cannot reach.

Today, "sitting still" is a basic moral code, which has nothing to do with "greatness", and has nothing to do with "saints". Could it be that strange men and women alone in a room can only be morally condemned? According to Article 236 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, if you do not follow the constraint of "sitting with your mind and not disturbing yourself", you will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than ten years. This practice of relying on the ancient sages to restrain the moral conduct of the world is really useless and absurd!
