Recently, The Xiamen Torch High-tech Zone Enterprise Kehua Data Co., Ltd. and the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute undertook the national science and technology major project - "1E-class battery charger and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) equipment development" project successfully passed the comprehensive performance evaluation meeting, and successfully developed the first 1E-class battery charger and UPS equipment in China that meets the requirements of large-scale advanced non-active nuclear power plants. The acceptance of the major national science and technology project was completed, filling the gap in the domestic market, and the technology and products ranked at the international advanced level.

"After the Fukushima incident in Japan, how the control system of the nuclear power plant ensured the safety of power supply in the event of a serious accident has attracted the attention of the industry. Nuclear-grade UPS is equivalent to a 'insurance' for the power supply of nuclear power plants, and it is safe to ensure stable power supply. Du Wei, chief engineer of Kehua Data Technology, said that based on more than 30 years of technical accumulation in the field of high-end power supplies, Kehua Data joined hands with Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute to challenge the high-tech technology of nuclear-grade UPS. It is our goal not only to independently develop localization equipment, but also to improve the reliability of equipment. Du Wei said that Kehua Data has set up a team of 184 people to carry out in-depth research in a number of key technologies, carry out EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), seismic and environmental tests for many times, overcome a number of technical problems, and the entire research and development lasted two years. With the joint efforts of the team, Kehua Data bravely climbed the peak and made one breakthrough after another. For example, the completion of detailed equipment reliability analysis, the use of modular design for easy maintenance, these are rare in the industry; for example, the equipment battery compatibility standards are high, anti-interference ability is strong, the design indicators reach the international advanced level, and the seismic ability is 32% higher than the seismic requirements of the predetermined design.
