The whole grass of euphorbia lunulata bunge, a plant of euphorbia of euphorbia of euphorbia of euphoridae, is a source of euphorbia in the family Euphoridae. Harvested in summer and autumn, dried in the sun.

Sexual taste is bitter and cool. poisonous.

Functional indications for diuretic and swelling reduction, pulling poison and relieving itching. It is used for edema of the limbs, unfavorable urination, malaria; external treatment of cervical lymph node tuberculosis, sores and itching.

Dosage of 1 to 3 yuan; external use of an appropriate amount, boiling paste externally or grinding powder with sesame oil to apply to the affected area.

Remarks (1) The milkwort euphorbia esula l. Whole herb is also used as a cat's eye herb.

(2) External application of this drug can pull out the pus in the sore, and after the sore is clean, it can be stopped and replaced by muscle growth meat medicine.

The source is the whole grass of the Euphorbiaceae plant Cat's Eye Grass.

The original form of cat's eye grass, also known as: euphorbia auricular leaves, fine leaf cat's eye grass.

It is a perennial herb growing more than 30 cm tall. The stem is thin and round, branching from the base and containing white milk. The leaves are linear, about 3 cm long and less than 3 mm wide, slightly pointed or blunt at the apex, and tapered into an inconspicuous short stalk at the base, with a full margin. Cup-shaped polyumbelous inflorescence apical; flower branches are branched 3 times; bracts are ovate or broadly triangular, with 2 total bracts, rounded; ovary 3 chambers, flower pillar 3, separated, apical 2 shallow lobes. The capsule is triangular and spherical, about 2 mm in diameter, with a yellow surface. The seeds are round and ovoid, yellow.

Habitat segments grow along hillside roads. It is distributed in Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Xinjiang, Northeast china and other places.

The chemical composition of the stem and leaves contain flavonoid glycosides, sterols, volatile oils, phenols, organic acids, amino acids and waxes. Cat's eye gramarin I. to VI. was isolated from the aerial part; the seeds also contained cat's eye herb V. and VI.

Pharmacological effect (1) antitussive, expectorant, asthmatic effect

The aboveground part of Euphorbia auricularis proposes that about flavonoid glycosides have an antitussive effect on coughs caused by ammonia, and the mouse phenol red method also shows expectorant effect, but has no preventive effect on guinea pig asthma caused by histamine.

(2) Antibacterial effect

Alcohol infusion (1:1000), decoction (1:300) has inhibitory effect on tuberculosis bacteria in test tubes, and according to yun, it also has inhibitory effects on streptococcus pneumoniae, streptococcus, catarrhacocci, and influenza bacillus.

The sexual taste is slightly cold, bitter and toxic.

Indications for the treatment of expectorant, antitussive, asthmatic, antipruritic pulling.
