He originally only won the third place, but when he read the papers, the emperor made a big stroke: he was good-looking, and the title belonged to him

There is a local proverb in Zhejiang called "starting from history, ending with the bell", which is said to be the local title of Zhejiang, which was opened by Shi Dacheng during the Qing Dynasty, and the last one was called Zhong Junsheng, which just fits the word "there is history (beginning) and end (end)". However, Shi Dacheng was not a champion at the beginning, but a tanhua; the reason why he was able to become this leader was thanks to his good hand.

He originally only won the third place, but when he read the papers, the emperor made a big stroke: he was good-looking, and the title belonged to him

Born in the last years of the Ming Dynasty, Shi Dacheng was quite filial from childhood, once because his mother was seriously ill, imitating the ancients to cut meat and medicine for his mother's treatment, not only was praised by the locals, but also reported to the imperial court, and received the name of "filial piety" issued by the imperial court, as well as a batch of money and grain. Although Shi Dacheng, who had read history books since childhood, achieved extraordinary achievements at a young age, 16 into Xiucai, 19 passed the examination, but he knew that the Ming Dynasty was already in turmoil at this time, so he cut off the idea of entering the shi and taught and educated people in his hometown.

Later, when the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, he tried to summon him to join the Shi many times, and he should also refuse; after the Qing Dynasty rule was stable, his parents urged him one after another, and Shi Dacheng had no choice but to reconsider joining the Shi. Because the Qing Dynasty did not recognize the achievements of the Ming Dynasty, he still needed to start again, but only then did he learn to put it there, and Shi Dacheng quickly won the move again.

In 1655, the 34-year-old Shi Dacheng went to Beijing to take the examination, and became a gongshi with an excellent result of 18th place, and was able to meet Tianzi to participate in the last round of the temple examination. In the temple examination, Shi Dacheng suppressed a group of students, and was judged by the chief examiner to be the third place in the temple examination with outstanding talent. I thought that Tanhualang was already a good result, but I didn't expect to go further.

At the end of the examiner's approval of the paper, it was the stage of the emperor's review, and when he saw the volume of Shi Dacheng in the Shunzhi results, he was immediately amazed by his beautiful handwriting, boasting that he was "well-written, respectful and prudent, and must be endowed with people." That is to say, Shi Dacheng is brilliant in writing, the handwriting is rigorous and neat, and he must be a very decent person. Under the great joy of the dragon heart, the original third place was changed to the first place, and Shi Dacheng became the yuanlang.

According to the general rules of the imperial examination, the first-class jinshi were generally left in the capital to enter the Hanlin Academy for further study, and Shi Dacheng was named the Hanlin Academy for cultivation, and the officials who stayed in Beijing needed to stay in Beijing for six years before they could return home to visit their relatives. In the fifteenth year of Shunzhi, when Shi Dacheng was only in his fourth year of cultivation, he received an urgent letter from his hometown, which contained a portrait of his father. It turned out that the elderly parents had been thinking about their son at home for a long time, and they could not travel long distances to the capital to visit him, so they could only send a portrait to express their longing.

Shi Dacheng burst into tears after seeing the portrait, and immediately like Shunzhi resigned from the government wanted to go home to serve his parents; Shunzhi was also greatly moved after hearing this, and revised the law for him, stipulating that in the future, Liu Jing only needed three years to enter the army, so he let him quickly go back to visit his relatives. But unfortunately, on the way back to Shi Dacheng, his father died of illness, and shi Dacheng, who returned home, finished taking care of his father's aftermath, and worried about his mother's health, he refused to return to the dynasty as an official. In a fit of rage, the imperial court stripped him of his official position and reduced him to a commoner.

When Kangxi ascended the throne and pardoned the world, Shi Dacheng was also reinstated. At this time, his mother was also an ancient, so he devoted all his energy to cultivating more talents for the imperial court, always scrupulously fulfilling his duties, and indeed did not live up to the evaluation that Shunzhi had once said of him, and was a good official who was honest and fair.
