For a person who is accustomed to living in Beiping, like me, if there is no wind in winter, it is a miracle; the winter in Jinan is without wind. For a person who has just returned from London, like me, it is strange to be able to see the sun in winter; winter in Jinan is clear. Naturally, in tropical places, daylight is always so toxic, loud weather, but a little scary. However, in the winter of northern China, and there can be warm and sunny weather, Jinan really has to be a treasure.
If there is only sunlight, it is not surprising. Please close your eyes and think: An old city, with mountains and water, all basking in the sun under the sky, sleeping warmly and comfortably, just waiting for the spring breeze to wake them up, is this an ideal realm? The hill has encircled Jinan in a circle, and only the north side lacks a little mouth. This circle of hills is particularly cute in winter, as if to put Jinan in a small cradle, and they quietly whisper, "Rest assured, it is safe here." "Really, the people of Jinan are smiling in winter. As soon as they looked at those hills, they felt that they had landed and relied on them. When they saw the mountain from heaven, they unconsciously remembered: "Maybe tomorrow is spring?" With such warmth, the grass may be green tonight, right? "Even this fantasy can't be realized for a while, and they are not in a hurry, because in such a charity winter, why hope for anything else!"
The best part is a little snow. Look, the dwarf pines on the mountain are getting greener and blacker, and the tips of the trees are covered with white flowers, like Japanese caretakers. The tip of the mountain was completely white, giving the blue sky a silver edge. On the slopes of the mountains, where the snow is thicker, and where the grass is still exposed; in this way, one white, one dark yellow, put on a flower coat with a water pattern for the mountains; looking at it, this flower coat seems to be blown by the wind, so that you want to see a little more beautiful mountain skin. When it was almost time to fall, the yellowish sunlight slanted on the mountainside, and the thin snow seemed to suddenly hurt the shyness, slightly revealing a little pink. It's a little snow, Jinan can't stand the snow, those hills are too beautiful!
Ancient Jinan, the city is so narrow, the outside of the city is so spacious, there are some small villages lying on the hillside, and there is a little snow lying on the roof of the small village, yes, this is Zhang Xiao's ink painting, maybe it was painted by a famous hand of the Tang Dynasty.
The water, not only does not freeze, but instead of bubbling some heat on the green ping, the algae is really green, and all the green stored all year round is taken out. The clearer the sky, the greener the algae, and with the spirit of these greens, the water can't bear to freeze, and those long-branched weeping willows still have to take a shadow in the water! Look, look up slowly from the clear river, in the air, in mid-air, in the sky, from top to bottom is so clear, so blue, the whole is an ethereal blue crystal. In this crystal, wrapped in red roof, yellow grass mountain, like a small gray tree shadow of a small cluster of flowers on the carpet; this is Jinan in winter.
About the Author
Lao She (1899-1966), novelist, dramatist. Formerly known as Shu Qingchun, zi Sheyu, Manchu, graduated from Beijing Normal School. In 1924, he went to England to teach Chinese at the Oriental College of the University of London, began to write, and successively published novels "Lao Zhang's Philosophy", "Zhao Ziyue" and "Erma" in the "Novel Monthly", becoming one of the founders of modern novels in China. After returning to China, he successively taught at Qilu University and Shandong University, and engaged in writing at the same time, during which his representative works include the novels "Cat City", "Divorce", "Camel Xiangzi", the novella "Crescent Moon", "My Life", the short story "Micro God", "Soul Breaker Gun" and so on. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he went to Wuhan and Chongqing to organize the All-China Literary and Art Circles Anti-Enemy Association, held meetings with the prime ministers at home, represented the "Literary Association" externally, composed a long novel "Four Generations Together", and improved modern music and art. In 1946, he went to the United States to give lectures, and returned to China four years later, mainly engaged in the creation of drama scripts, representative works include "Longsugou" and "Tea House", won the title of "People's Artist", and was known as a language master.
Appreciation of works
"Winter in Jinan" was written by Lao She in the spring of 1931 while teaching at Qilu University in Jinan. It was a poetic prose, lao she lectured in England for six years, the British fog impressed him deeply, and also went to the southwest region. Therefore, after coming to Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, known as "Spring City", I felt very strongly. Lao She firmly grasps the characteristics of Jinan's winter "warm and sunny" and describes a unique and moving winter scene in Jinan.
