《Kanagawa Chunamiri》

Kanagawa Surf Is a famous woodblock print by The Japanese ukiyo-e painter Katsushika Hokusai, published in 1832 as part of the Thirty-Six Views of Fugaku series. The painting is very small, 25.7 cm high and 37.9 cm wide, taking A4 paper as an example, it is slightly larger than A4 paper. It depicts ships that threaten Kanagawa Oki (the sea off Kanagawa) with giant waves in the background of Mt. Fuji. The image of the boatmen struggling to survive is depicted in the distance of Mt. Fuji. The seemingly simple composition contains geometric principles, and the combination of triangles and circles was a pioneering form of composition at that time. The whole painting gives a sense of order, Hokusai puts the point of view very low, and the person who looks at the painting will feel that he is also at sea, facing this inescapable wave like the people on the ship. "Kanagawa Surf" will give us a feeling of cascading. This work is Hokusai's most famous work, one of the most famous works of Japanese art in the world, and one of the most seen by people in the world.

Katsushika Hokusai's prints were magically realist to the extreme in the 19th century.

At this time, the Great Qing Dynasty was not yet finished, and it was during the Daoguang years, and the country continued to be closed.

At this time in Europe, during the Industrial Revolution, merchant ships crossed the oceans and steam trains roared over the railways.

I think, if I were the one who was in the Daoguang years, I am afraid that I would think that this Dongying culture was shocking.

But today, it spans 200 years, from Japan to Europe, and it has appeared in my life in a big way.

It can be said that the cross-dimensional dimension has reached the extreme.
