One day the old carpenter said to his apprentice, "You will be a carpenter."

So the next day the apprentice went up the mountain to the wood, the apprentice felt thirsty and wanted to drink water, the master first let him finish the tree and then drink, so he continued to the kan, and finally the kan was finished, this is he was already very thirsty, want to drink water under the mountain and continue to work.
But the master still did not let it, at this time his own mouth was dry, he could not bear it, so he grabbed and put the leaves into his mouth, but without a few mouthfuls, he frowned and spit it out, and the master looked at his tongue-smashing look and said to him in a serious tone: "How do you want to learn the skill and not suffer a little bitterly?" So the apprentice buried his head and worked hard again.
At sunset, the wooden plank was finally secured, but the apprentice was tired and paralyzed, at this time the master took out a piece of brown sugar from his arms and handed it to him, and said with emotion: "This is called first bitter and then sweet"!
After eating the brown sugar, he felt much more comfortable, so he went back with the master to fight the plank back. When he returned home, the master said to the apprentice, you can leave the master.
Before leaving, the master poured a cup of tea, added a little honey and pepper leaves to the tea, and said to the apprentice, "Taste what taste." The apprentice took the tea and drank it, saying that there is a taste of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy.
Since then, there have been three teas, which represent a set of etiquette for the younger generation to learn from the teacher and learn the art. It has now become a form of celebration for the Bai people.
