The "History of Qin Benji", "History of Feng Zen Book" and other materials record a sacrifice site of the Qin State in the Spring and Autumn Period, and now this site has been unveiled, and the history of a Qin and Han sacrifice site that has been sealed for more than 2,000 years is revealed.

Located in the Chencang District of Baoji City, the site of the sacrifice began in 2020 by a joint archaeological team composed of the National Museum of China, the Shaanxi Provincial Archaeological Research Institute and other units to excavate and study the site.

Up to now, archaeologists have explored more than 1,400 sacrificial pits in the 230,000-square-meter site area and excavated more than 50 of them.

A large number of animal bones such as cattle, horses, and sheep used for sacrifice have been unearthed at the site, as well as related building materials and jade fragments.

According to historical records, archaeologists speculate that this site is likely to be the place of worship set up in the fourth year of Qin Xuangong recorded in the "History of Qin Benji" - Miqi.

Duke Xuan of Qin, surnamed Yin, was given the name Tian (恬). He was the eldest son of Duke De of Qin, the eldest brother of Duke Cheng of Qin and Duke Mu of Qin. Duke Xuan of Qin set up a secret shrine to worship the Qing Emperor in the east.
