It was learned from Pingdu City that the Qingdao base of Tianji New Energy Vehicle located in Tonghe Street of the city has been completed and has entered the stage of process equipment installation and commissioning, and it is expected to complete the commissioning of process equipment in March next year and carry out trial production of commercial vehicles in May. "The base is the third production base of Tianji Automobile after Shaoxing and Changsha, Shaoxing and Changsha bases produce passenger cars, and the Qingdao base will produce commercial vehicles, so next year the commercial vehicles off the production line of the Qingdao base will also be the first commercial vehicle produced by Tianji Automobile." Fang Chao, senior manager of Skyline Auto, introduced.

As the new force of Qingdao's largest new energy vehicle manufacturing base in the world, the second phase of the Qingdao base project of Tianji Automobile's new energy vehicle covers a total area of 500 mu with a total investment of 2.68 billion yuan, and will mainly produce new energy light buses.

At present, the first phase of the project under construction covers an area of 223 mu, with a planned investment of 1.13 billion yuan, of which the production workshop and R&D center cover an area of 80,000 square meters. The first model to be put into production is an urban commercial vehicle equipped with a new energy power system, with an estimated annual output of 20,000 vehicles and an annual output value of more than 5 billion yuan. After the project is fully produced, it can produce 60,000 vehicles per year, achieve an output value of 16 billion yuan and create 600 new jobs.

At the project construction site, it was seen that the civil engineering and maintenance of the welding workshop, painting workshop, final assembly workshop, monitoring and rework workshop and comprehensive building of the base in a "U" shape distribution have been completed, of which the largest assembly workshop is installing mechanical and electrical pipelines. As an infrastructure supporting the start of the vehicle, Wuzhou Road on the west side of the factory and Kunming Road on the north side have been completed.

Fang Chao revealed that as the first commercial vehicle of Tianji Automobile to roll off the production line next year, the model is designed to maximize the transportation needs of urban logistics, and is ahead of the existing products modified by traditional fuel light truck models in terms of cargo volume, passability and styling design. The comprehensive mileage of the whole vehicle will reach 550 kilometers, which is enough to ensure the demand for logistics and transportation. "As a commercial vehicle, in addition to the functional configuration, it also has a sense of technology and fashion, and the price is less than 300,000 yuan." Fang Chao said.
