Admittedly, China's ability to attract elite elites is not as good as that of the United States, which has been decades and nearly a century. Relying on its various advantages, the United States has attracted many Chinese academic elites, resulting in many of the students we have cultivated going to the United States.
The top elites cultivated by our country, the top students in the college entrance examination that Tsinghua University and Peking University snatch every year, many of them have served the United States for a lifetime. Isn't this worth reflecting on and being vigilant against?
This is not the result of the training we want, and it is not the general situation that China's top talents should have. How to change the status quo of cultivating top talents abroad? How to let more top talents stay in China to do the industries that the country needs?
We can't let these top talents and college entrance examination champions from all over the world enter Tsinghua University and Peking University, and we have to divert to other famous universities, so that we can retain them, which is a more correct training direction.
Tsinghua University and Peking University should be prohibited from grabbing champions, controlling the scale of enrollment, giving more resources to other universities, and diverting champions. Tsinghua University and Peking University should review the practices of door-to-door interviews, welfare services, and phone calls to guide when they grab the champion. Getting more champions to go to other key universities is a good way to turn the situation around.
However, we must be clear that those Tsinghua and Peking University elites who have made great contributions to the United States, the United States knows that they are useful, and will not blindly reject them, but try to use them as much as possible. The United States is not stupid, it knows what talent is, and knows that talent is important.
