On December 14th, the 2021 Chongqing Inspirational Report and Special Arts Tour for the Disabled entered Sichuan Foreign Chinese University. Disabled artists from all over the city brought a wonderful and inspirational performance to the audience in the form of dance, vocal music, speech and so on.
"I want to be your ear and take you to hear the voices of the whole world..."
In the sensual voiceover, two hearing-impaired dancers dance to a beat, sometimes softly and sometimes powerfully, with each movement meticulously crafted. The performance in just a few minutes deeply shocked the audience under the stage.

After a brief moment of surprise, the scene erupted in thunderous applause.
The name of this dance is "Listening", which tells the story of the hearing impaired, expressing that even if you can't hear the sound, you can hear the voice of "love" in your heart.

Li Shiteng, 29, is one of the dancers. Through sign language interpreters, the reporter "chatted" with him.
"Dance gives me a lot of power and makes me happy."
Li Shiteng lost his hearing from birth. When he was 9 years old, he happened to see a street dance performance on TV, fell in love with this dance, and taught himself to follow the movements on TV.

"From the very beginning of dancing, I was on muted."
Li Shiteng "said", although he could not hear, but when practicing dance, through the sound, you can feel the vibration of the eardrum, over time, this vibration has become his unique "metronome".
Today, Li Shiteng has been engaged in professional dance art for 10 years, participated in more than 100 large-scale performances, and is a backbone member of the Chongqing Mengxiang Disabled People's Art Troupe.

Behind this is the hard practice day after day, spending a month to "nibble" a dance is a common thing, sometimes a movement has to be rehearsed hundreds of times, and the hardships are known only to themselves.
"Dancing is my dream, and I hope to one day compete on the same stage with professional dancers." Li Shiteng "said" to reporters in sign language.
At the scene, the hearing-impaired students of Wanzhou Special Education Center and Pengshui Special Education School also brought wonderful performances. With the help of the gestures and expressions of the sign language teacher, they stepped on the beat and used one beautiful dance movement after another to let the audience hear their inner "voice".

In addition to the art tour, Zhou Juan from Liangping District Special Education School told the story of how she was transferred from Mingda Town Center Primary School to work in the District Special Education School with the title of "Hearing Happiness", how to adapt to the story of how she could not hear from hearing and hearing, exploring the direction in the twists and turns, and finally strengthening the education position; Gu Jiaxin, a disabled college student at Chongqing University, compared herself to a "little ant" and told the inspirational story of how she was not afraid of difficulties and bravely chased her dreams in simple words.
It is understood that the Chongqing Inspirational Report and Special Art Tour for the Disabled has been carried out 25 times, aiming to further create a good social environment for helping the disabled and the progress of civilization.
