Nanxin Semiconductor released a blockbuster core product at the speech, SC3057 gallium nitride sealing chip. Nanxin introduced the characteristics of gallium nitride itself, fast switching speed and small loss after the emergence of gallium nitride devices, and has been applied to PD fast charging.
The NANSC SC3057 is available in a QFN6*8 package with power and signal partition traces. Simplify heat treatment by dissipating heat over a large area of PAD. The SC3057 operates in QR and DCM modes for high-frequency applications and complies with gallium nitride characteristics. At the same time, SC3057 has complete protection functions, supports internal and external overheating protection, and supports segmented power supply. Segmented power supply requires only a single winding and is friendly to EMI and synchronous rectification.
Southern Core has launched a 65W DEMO for the SC3057, which can be seen that the peripheral components of the SC3057 are very streamlined, no external resistance containers and drivers are required, and the number of peripheral components is very small, simplifying the design and providing more design space. Previously, the beautiful engineers of Nanxin also introduced this set of programs in detail.
Nanxin SC3057 has a 90V input, a 20V3.25A full-load output conversion efficiency greater than 92.7%, and a 220V input down conversion efficiency of more than 94%. Nanxin has made a special optimization of the SC3057 and can easily pass the EMI test. And the NMS SC3057 is a breakthrough of 94% efficiency in the case of EMI test passing.

Nanxin SC3057 has an internal integrated segmented power supply to meet the wide range output of USB PD. Compared with LDO, the way to improve the withstand voltage, Nanxin integrates a segmented power supply. Auxiliary winding output voltage detection via sw pin is a patent point of South Core. Segmented power supply can reduce the number of peripheral components and reduce the power consumption of the controller compared to other power supply methods, and only requires a single auxiliary winding power supply, compared with other power supply methods only need to add a 0805 package inductor.
The South Core Gallium Nitride drive adopts the technical route of differential drive, and the differential drive can eliminate the influence of the current sensing resistor on the driving voltage of the Gallium nitride device, and can give full play to the characteristics of the Gallium nitride device. The South Core subtracts the voltage across the current sampling resistor by a proprietary voltage and adds it to the gate of the Gallium nitride. The design has been tested for a long time, and performance and reliability are guaranteed.
For single-port output applications above 65W, in order to meet the LPS requirements, some applications need to support the primary side LPS, that is, the primary side constant current protection function. Nanxin will launch a single-port version of the part number based on SC3057 in the future, which supports this function.
Synchronous rectification uses the South Core SC3503 controller, the SC3503 has dual modes, support zero voltage flyback/ACF flyback and CCM/DCM/QR flyback mode.
The NANSC3503 also supports drive clamping at 0 voltage output, supports 4A current pull capability to ensure fast shut-off of synchronous rectifiers, automatically switches 8V/6V drive voltages, and features the industry's best shutdown transmission delay of 10nS and accurate minimum on-time.
Nanxin SC3503 has a very flexible power supply mode, supporting high-side and low-side applications, and supporting a variety of power extraction methods. At present, it has been applied in Nubia 30W GaN fast charge, Pengyuansheng mini 30W Gallium nitride fast charge charger, Greenlink 65W smart charging magic box 2C2A gallium nitride fast charging socket, TEGIC mini 30W PD fast charge gallium nitride charger, Zhengtuo 65W 2C1A gallium nitride charger and other products in batch application.

Nanxin AC-DC, synchronous rectifier controller and PD protocol chip series solutions, blue is the primary side controller, divided into gallium nitride and traditional MOS controllers. Nanxin SC3056 was released in July, and was used on the terminal product in September, and the shipment has reached the KK level.

At 90V input, the efficiency of the SC3056 reaches 92.4%, and the temperature rise is only 76.6 degrees Celsius, simplifying the design process and cost.
