On the morning of December 31st, the "Symposium on the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association and the Opening Ceremony of the 60th Anniversary Documentary Exhibition of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association" sponsored by the Shanghai Calligraphers Association were held in the Shanghai Literary and Art Hall.

Before the official start of the symposium on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, all the guests observed a moment of silence for Mr. Zhou Huijun, honorary chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association.

In the enthusiastic appeal of Shen Yinmo and other calligraphers of the older generation to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese calligraphy art, and with the strong support of the party and the government, on April 8, 1961, the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, the predecessor of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, was officially established, marking the birth of the first public calligraphy social group in New China in Shanghai. This is a landmark initiative in the history of calligraphy development and the pride of contemporary Shanghai calligraphy. Over the past 60 years, Shanghai's calligraphy art has always shone with the artistic charm of inheriting classics and Shanghai characteristics with the pace of development of the times.

At the beginning of the symposium, Ding Shenyang, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, said: "After the continuous efforts of several generations of leaders of the Shanghai Book Association, the Shanghai Book Association has made positive contributions in inheriting and disseminating calligraphy culture, cultivating and educating calligraphy talents, and promoting the development of calligraphy. In order to record every step of the association in the past 60 years, the Shanghai Book Association began to prepare a series of activities for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the association last year, and specially filmed the "Ru Yin - Documentary on the 60th Anniversary of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association", which premiered at the opening ceremony. The documentary will be broadcast on Shanghai Television's Documentary Humanities Channel at 3:30, 6:00 and 11:30 on December 31, 2022, and at 16:00 on January 6, 2022.

The 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Book Association was also strongly supported by the China Book Association. Sun Xiaoyun, chairman of the China Book Association, wrote an inscription for the event. Li Xin, secretary of the sub-party group of the China Calligraphers Association, said that the Shanghai Book Collaboration is the first public calligraphy social group in China, and has made indelible contributions to the cultivation of calligraphy art talents and the international dissemination of calligraphy by exploring and practicing exhibitions, training, scholarship and exchanges in the role of the forerunner of China's book world. In recent years, the Shanghai Book Association has combined the characteristics of Shanghai's urban development and has made many breakthroughs and developments in the construction of Internet + Associations, membership management, cross-border integration, and exhibition models.

The exhibition is divided into eight sections: timeline, association construction, creative exhibition, academic research, education and training, cooperation and exchange, publication results, and interactive souvenirs. The exhibition is mainly exhibited in a combination of graphic and physical documents.

In the construction section of the association, the development process of the Shanghai Book Association in the past 60 years is presented in a timeline. In the creative exhibition section, we can see the continuous enrichment, innovation and development of the Content, Scale and Form of calligraphy curation by the Shanghai Book Association. Finally, in the interactive souvenir area, a special member directory search device is also set up, the members of the Shanghai Book Association can query according to the initials of the name or the membership number, and after the successful retrieval, the member name and membership number will be displayed in the form of a projection screen, so that each member can find his name and mark in the 60-year history of the association.
