Mr. Dai Xiaojing, consultant of Shanghai Calligraphers Association, librarian of Shanghai Research Museum of Literature and History, and national first-class artist, died at the age of 70 at Xuhui District Central Hospital at 1:49 on January 4, 2022 due to ineffective medical treatment. Dai Xiaojing was born in Beijing in 1952 and his ancestral home is Boxing, Shandong. He graduated from the Department of Chinese of Sun Yat-sen University in 1982. He once served as a director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the secretary general of the Appraisal and Rights Protection Professional Committee of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the vice president of the Chinese Calligraphy Famous Cities (Hometown) Friendship Association, the vice chairman and secretary general of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, and a national first-class artist. He is an adjunct professor of East China University of Political Science and Law, East China Normal University, and Shanghai Theater Academy, and was the editor-in-chief of Calligraphy Research and Writing Magazine.

Since 1984, he has published more than 20 monographs and papers of more than 500,000 words in Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publishing House, Jiangsu Ancient Books Publishing House, Shanghai Education Publishing House, Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House, calligraphy research, Chinese calligraphy, art world, etc., important ones are: "Wu Hufan Biography", "Calligraphy Creation" (in cooperation with Zhou Zhigao), "20th Century Cultural Celebrities and Shanghai Wu Hufan", "Kang Youwei and the Qing Dynasty Epigraphical Movement", "Severe Thinking", "Erwang Calligraphy" and so on. In 2003, his paper "Reflections on the Variation of Contemporary Book Style Forms" won the third prize of the Literary and Art Review of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. His works were selected for the 3rd and 4th National Youth Exhibition, the 8th and 9th "National Exhibition", "International Book Fair" and "International Linshu Exhibition". In 1997, he was awarded the title of "National 100 Young and Middle-Aged Artists of Virtue and Art Shuangxin" by the Central Propaganda Department and the China Federation of Literature and Literature, and participated in the "National Symposium of 100 Young and Middle-aged Artists of Virtue and Art Shuangxin" at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. In 2007, the large-scale series of books "Collection of Works of Representative Calligraphers of The Haipai School" won the National Government Book Award and the Shanghai Publishing Award. In 2008, he was a member of the 11th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
