I have been keeping a copy of the Xinmin Evening News from May 26, 2019. There is a full-page interview with me above, "A Lifetime of Affection for One Person, One Thing."

On May 26, 2019, I officially entered the ranks of the "post-90s". That year also happened to be the 90th birthday of Xinmin Evening News, on the day of my birthday, the "Sunday Luminous Cup" published this interview, it wrote me from a different perspective, wrote about my love for music, love for my family, at that time, I read it with tears, a lot of feelings. Here, I would like to thank the Evening News for its love for me, and thank the Evening News for its care, support and encouragement over the years.

As a teenager, I had four dreams. The first dream is "Villain Pony Knife and Gun"; the second is "Violin Dream"; the third is "Musical Dream"; the fourth is "Movie Dream". Later, I joined the army, learned music, many movies have adopted my works as a soundtrack, I deeply feel that life must have dreams, dreams are the pursuit of life, to use a hundred times the effort to achieve their dreams, I did it, these have come true dreams.

I remember in 1995, calligrapher and seal engraver Liu Yiwen transmitted a letter through the Xinmin Evening News, saying that he was obsessed with "Ode to the Red Flag" when he was a child, once tried to rehearse harmonica ensemble with his classmates, and also rode a bicycle from Hongkou to the Xinhua Road Shanghai Wind Orchestra to copy the general score of "Ode to the Red Flag", and when he saw that "Shanghai Spring" had my special performance, he bought a ticket and took the whole family to the scene. "Ode to the Red Flag" is a titled, popular, grounded, elegant and popular orchestral work, with no superb skills, only simple emotions. Later, Mr. Liu Yiwen and I became lifelong friends.

On July 1, 2021, I had the honor to attend the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on the upper floor of Tiananmen Square, and listened to General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on the spot, feeling honored and deeply educated. The general secretary stressed, "The jiangshan is the people, the people are the jiangshan, and fighting the jiangshan and guarding the jiangshan is the people's heart." The foundation of the Communist Party of China lies in the people, the blood is in the people, and the strength is in the people. "Hearing these words, I was very touched, and I was really touched when I thought of myself. Through the Xinmin Evening News, I would like to tell the new generation of young literary and art workers that we must not forget our original intentions, be strict in self-discipline, be diligent in studying, create carefully, and always climb the peak of art. The creation of works is not for self-congratulation, but to get the love of the people. What do people love? Of course it is true, good, and beautiful, not false, evil, or ugly. Therefore, in order to create works that are true, good, and beautiful, the creators themselves must also have the soul of truth, goodness, and beauty, and they must learn from the masses, from life, and from national culture.

In the decades of film, television music, instrumental works and vocal works, I have successively composed music for more than 200 film and television dramas (sets) such as "Railway Guerrilla", "Lushan Love", "Seongnam Old Affairs", "Jiao Yulu", etc., and created more than 300 vocal works of different genres and forms, such as the orchestral overture "Ode to the Red Flag", the orchestral suite "Rain Flower Festival", the string ensemble "Longhua Festival", and more than 300 vocal works of different genres and forms, such as "Playing My Beloved Earth Pipa" and "Who Doesn't Say That My Hometown is Good". It seems that I have done something, but in my heart, I believe that I have done one of the most important things conscientiously, singing the praises of the party, the motherland and the people, the great red flag, and the great victory of the Chinese revolution with my own pen.

"Ode to the Red Flag" this work can be accepted, loved, and loved by the majority of listeners, which is my hope and pursuit, and the recognition and praise of the audience is my greatest satisfaction and the highest praise for me.
