First of all, let's talk about Nakano Hisashi, who served as the special senior chief of the Chongming Gendarmerie, was an "old fritter" with many years of experience as a secret agent, and he was able to quickly rise to the throne by means of vicious tactics in the search for guerrillas and underground parties.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Nakano, along with Hayashi Ōtino, commander of the Japanese military police stationed on Chongming Island, and Ryo Fukuda, commander of the Japanese Navy in China, was imprisoned in the "Jiangwan War Criminals Prison" in Shanghai.
So why did Nakano later escape from prison?
On the one hand, Nakano Kuyo knew that his sins were deep, leaving aside the Chongming Island burning incident, the crime of arresting and booby-trapping Chinese intelligence personnel alone was enough for him to drink a pot, and Nakano Kuyo was a secret agent, and he knew all about those torturous methods, so instead of sitting and waiting, it was better to fight to the death.
On the other hand, the special environment of the prison at that time also facilitated his escape from prison.
At that time, the war had just ended, there were neither enough prisons nor sufficient guards, and prison supervision was relatively lax. Take this Jiangwan War Criminals Prison, which was only completed in January 1947, and war criminals are also a mixture of fish and dragons, not even a unified prison uniform, and the so-called "wall" is only circled with barbed barbed wire.
Therefore, on December 14, 1947, Nakano Hisayo, who had already "stepped on a little better", left the cell under the pretext of diarrhea, and took advantage of the negligence of the caretaker to jump out of the window and escape.
Coincidentally, it was a windy day, and the sentries standing guard at the gate hid in the house, not finding The fleeing Nakano Hisashi. In this way, Nakano Hisashi successfully escaped from prison.
To escape is to escape, but how to live has become a new problem. Because Nakano Kuyong has a special status, he cannot be repatriated to China, and he cannot receive government relief money, coupled with the wrong accent, basically a mouth will show the stuffing, and he really has no tricks to think about it, Nakano Kuyong had to live on the street and become a beggar.
During this period, Nakano Also wanted to go to Jiading to join his friends, but was arrested and imprisoned. It turned out that the local police had taken the aspirin powder he was carrying as a drug and arrested him. However, at this time, Nakano Hisayō had already assumed the pseudonym Wang Shouzhang, and eventually passed the customs in the name of accidentally losing his documents in the course of business.
However, under the delay of this coming and going, friends cannot turn to it, and can only continue to live on the streets, doing some hard work to earn food and eat.
At the same time, when the Nationalist government heard that such an important war criminal had slipped away, it not only dispatched a large number of police forces to search around, but even the warden Zou Renzhi was also thrown into prison, which shows the importance that the Nationalist government attaches to this incident.
After nearly a month of fumbling, the police concluded that Nakano is still hiding in Shanghai. Therefore, the Shanghai police further intensified the search, and the plainclothes agents were countless.
In fact, they were not wrong in their judgment, at this moment, Nakano Hisayo was working as a porter pulling a car in the area of Zhapu Road Bridge in Shanghai. On February 28, 1948, Nakano Hisayo, who had been on the run for two and a half months, was finally discovered by plainclothes agents.
And the reason why he was exposed was also very interesting, when the two plainclothes men were bargaining with him, and the hungry and anxious Nakano Hisashi quarreled impatiently, and the result was this Chinese-Japanese accent that exposed his identity.
What's even more interesting is that after being arrested, Nakano's first request was to get him some food quickly, and these days he is really hungry. The plainclothes agent bought him 5 flatbreads, which he ate in one go.
After Nakano was arrested, in order to prevent him from escaping again, he was directly imprisoned in the well-equipped Tilanqiao Prison. On April 8, 1948, Nakano was executed by firing squad.
