After the Kangxi Emperor finally accepted the fact that Crown Prince Yinrong had betrayed the official, he went out and sighed, lamenting that this was the future emperor of the Great Qing Dynasty?
When the Kangxi Emperor had this kind of doubt, the ministers would naturally move with the wind, and the first to stand up was Tong Guowei. After being reprimanded by the Kangxi Emperor, the unjust case of the Punishment Department broke out, and Tong Guowei was quite excited, and also satirized the Kangxi Emperor's "rat throwing taboo" above the court, inspiring the Kangxi Emperor to investigate the matter thoroughly.
In fact, everyone can see that the day the unjust case of the Criminal Investigation Department is clarified is when the crown prince Yinrong is deposed. It's just that Tong Guowei believes that the old fourth Yinchen has lost his power, and the day that the prince Yinrong is deposed is the time when the old eight Yinchen is established, so he will suggest the old eight Yinchen:

The first order was to seal four princes on the spot, which was an order issued before it was known that the prince's edict was false; the second order was to learn that the prince's edict was false, but still decided to abolish the prince's edict and ask the ministers to recommend a new prince.
Of course, these two orders had the purpose of testing the princes and finding out the murderers behind the scenes, but more importantly, they conveyed two messages to Zhang Tingyu:
One piece of information is that Prince Yinrong has disappointed the Kangxi Emperor, you think, the Kangxi Emperor knows that he is wronged, or he wants to abolish him, so it can be seen that Prince Yinrong is doomed to inherit the unification. The second message is that the Kangxi Emperor decided that the crown prince Yinrong was going to rebel, so the candidate to inherit the unification must be among these four princes.
These four princes were the emperor's eldest son Yin Zhen, the emperor's third son Yin Zhi, the emperor's fourth son Yin Zhen, and the emperor's eighth son Yin Yu.

The eldest was directly imprisoned and had no connection with the throne forever, and the third elder was also reprimanded, and since then he has been discouraged and no longer cares about the throne.
At this time, there are only four old Yin Chan and old eight Yin Yu left, choose one of the two!
The later recommendation of the new prince was actually testing the fourth and eighth elders, and Zhang Tingyu did not express his support for which one, precisely because he and the Kangxi Emperor jointly kept the secret of breaking through the false prince's handwriting.
Later, in the court, Tong Guowei committed the great crime of forming a party, and at the same time, the Kangxi Emperor also expressed strong dissatisfaction with the old Eight Yin. In this situation, Zhang Tingyu understood the spirit and took out from his sleeve the folds of the proposal for the restoration of the deposed prince YinRong.
In fact, this place may be hiding a big secret, Zhang Tingyu took out the fold from the left cuff, so does his right cuff have a fold? Is there still a fold hidden in his waist?
This battle completely laid the foundation for Zhang Tingyu to become a "minister of life", and Tong Guowei, the first assistant in the study room, was deposed, went home directly to retire, and withdrew from the political stage. Ma Qi, a person who had no opinion, had been following Tong Guowei around, and when he saw Zhang Tingyu pull out the fold, he almost lost his teeth in surprise. In order to protect himself, he had to argue with the Kangxi Emperor, and was eventually demoted and ranked after Zhang Tingyu.
