Looking back at 2021, Euro NCAP conducted a total of 33 different models of crash tests, and of the 22 models that received a five-star score, 5 models became champions in the same class. According to Euro NCAP's announcement of the safest cars in each category in 2021, the winners are: Mercedes-EQ EQS (Luxury and Pure Electric Vehicle Class), Škoda ENYAQ iV (Large Off-Road Vehicle), ŠKODA Jingrui (Small Family Car), Toyota Yaris Cross (Small SUV) and Nissan Qashqai (Small Buggy).
In terms of brands, Skoda is undoubtedly the biggest winner, occupying two of the five models. Among them, Jingrui has achieved quite high scores in both frontal and lateral impacts due to its excellent rigidity performance. On the other hand, Mercedes-EQ EQS also overpowered its rival Polestar 2 in this selection, becoming the top of the list in two categories, including luxury cars and pure trams.
The Skoda Enyaq iV received a 94% rating in the adult protection segment and a Marginal rating in the Far Side Test test. The Child Impact Protection sub-item received a perfect score, with an overall rating of 89%.
With excellent rigidity, Jingrui achieved high scores in the front and side impact details, resulting in an adult passenger protection score of 85%.
