Introduction: "Supplementary Lei Gong Concocted Notes" is an extant orphan copy, now in the library of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, after the experts of the Institute of Medical History and Literature of the Hospital, the "Supplementary Lei Gong Concocted Notes" originally had a total of fourteen volumes and a volume, which was painted 2 years earlier than the world-renowned Ming Dynasty Li Shizhen's "Compendium of Materia Medica" Jinling Initial Edition (1593). The book is divided into ten parts: golden stone, grass, wood, man, beast, poultry, insect fish, fruit, rice grain, and vegetables, and contains a total of 957 kinds of medicines. The 1128 exquisite color medicinal drawings and 219 of them are rarely concocted, adding a large number of brilliant and highly academic new materials to the study of ancient Chinese Materia Medica (especially the process and equipment of concoction), and even the study of ancient art, and its emergence shocked the Materia Medica community, and it is the most complete surviving ancient painted Materia Medica in China.
