With the victory of the Liberation War, the armed struggle in Yunnan Province also began to develop rapidly, and the Communist Party also actively fought for Lu Han, a heavyweight in Yunnan Province.
Before Lu Han, Yunnan had a very important person, he was Wang Longyun of Yunnan.
At the beginning, the People's Liberation Army felt that Lu Han could fight for it, and it was also related to Long Yun.
In fact, Lu Han's initial attitude was also relatively firm, but later, because of Long Yun's relationship, his political attitude gradually changed, and eventually he fell to the side of the people.
After the change of attitude, Lu Han once received a secret killing order from Chiang Kai-shek, but he did not change a word, but eventually turned the oracle into waste paper.
Luján
Luhan's important transformation is of great significance to Yunnan
In the history of Yunnan, the most famous "King of Yunnan" is none other than Long Yun, and it can be seen from Long Yun's various performances in the past that if he had been in charge of Yunnan, it might have been smoother when Yunnan was liberated.
Chiang Kai-shek naturally thought of this, he wanted to eliminate a series of unstable factors, so in the year of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Long Yun was almost escorted out of Kunming, Chiang Kai-shek relieved all his power, and Long Yun's story ended.
This incident, known in history as the "Kunming Incident," ended in Chiang Kai-shek's great victory.
This was a contest between the central government of the People's Republic of China and the local authorities in Yunnan for control of the province, but Chiang Kai-shek also knew that even if Longyun was taken over, if a high-level person was parachuted in, then the Yunnan side would certainly be unconvinced, which would inevitably cause a greater crisis.
Therefore, after many considerations, from December 1, 1945, Lu Han was appointed as the new chairman of Yunnan Province, but at this time he was much worse than the original Long Yun, and Chiang Kai-shek was also trying to hide his eyes and ears, resulting in Lu Han becoming the commander of the light pole.
As a good brother who has followed Long Yun for many years, this time Lu Han also saw the fierce side of Chiang Kai-shek's heart, so he decided to protect himself, recuperate, and at least not let himself live too miserable.
But Lu Han also came out of the battlefield, he also has the bloodiness of a man, let him be the commander of the light pole is certainly not enough, therefore, Lu Han still hopes to compete for some of the power he deserves to come back, he proposed to Chiang Kai-shek that he wants to abolish the kuomintang central command and get a garrison headquarters himself.
Dragon Cloud
Chiang Kai-shek had just finished settling Long Yun's affairs, and he also did not want to see Lu Han turn the sky upside down, so naturally he would not agree to Lu Han's proposal, but he still compromised and let him set up a Yunnan security headquarters, with himself as the commander.
For most of the liberation war, Chiang Kai-shek was always busy with the affairs of the northern battlefield, and did not have much energy to control Yunnan, and Lu Han also gained a chance to breathe, began to continuously restore strength, and successfully gained control of many troops.
In the process, something happened in the far northeast that Luhan still remembers: the Pan Shuoduan Uprising.
This was the precedent of the Uprising of the Kuomintang army in the northeast, which had a great impact on the entire northeast battlefield, and when the Dian army left their hometown, many of them went to the northeast, and sooner or later the flames of war would burn on the heads of the Dian army.
Sure enough, in October 1948, Zeng Zesheng led more than 20,000 people to launch an uprising in Changchun, and later the 93rd Army was wiped out in Jinzhou, and the troops that came out of Yunnan with high morale at that time have now almost disintegrated.
Zeng Zesheng
At that time, this was a result that Lu Han did not want to see, and he twice rushed from the southwest to the northeast to visit the troops, but he found that the current troops were already scattered, which also completely affected his relationship with Chiang Kai-shek.
But his idea is also very simple, as long as he can have his own living space in the chaotic world, this is enough.
Immediately afterward, the People's Liberation Army broke through the momentum and successively won the three major battles of Liaoshen, Huaihai, and Pingjin, and Lu Han also realized that not to mention the Dian army at that time, even the Kuomintang government was no longer able to stand, and after Chiang Kai-shek was occupied in Nanjing, he regarded the vast southwest as his rear, and Lu Han was also wavering.
He still hopes to be able to "seek progress in stability", but this idea is doomed to be futile.
As a veteran general, Luján certainly has his own way of coping, he has been expanding capital behind his back, even if he negotiates with anyone in the future, at least he must have his own bottom card.
The speed of the People's Liberation Army's offensive has completely exceeded Luhan's expectations.
At this moment, he even thought of a sinister trick: to find the Americans, hoping that the US military would help him strip Yunnan out.
However, the US government naturally supported Chiang Kai-shek, and Lu Han did not come to talk properly, so he politely declined Lu Han's proposal.
On the other hand, it may be that Chiang Kai-shek considered the relationship between Lu Han and Long Yun, and he and Li Zongren went to Yunnan to start establishing a secret base, and Chiang Kai-shek's agents were even arranged to strictly monitor Lu Han's every move.
At that time, Chiang Kai-shek still thought that he still had the possibility of counterattack, and he certainly did not want to see the scene of the disaster against Xiao Wall.
The situation is constantly changing, Lu Han's heart is also riding a "roller coaster", when Long Yun has gone to Hong Kong, and has sent people to contact Lu Han many times to urge him to revolt as soon as possible, the longer it drags on, the more unfavorable it is to himself.
Therefore, Lu Han finally made up his mind under Long Yun's suggestion, or it was better to conform to the overall situation, at least not to leave a name for eternity.
In September 1949, the liberation of Yunnan was within reach.
At this time, there was still a number one important person in Yunnan Province who was still helping Chiang Kai-shek find a way, and he was drunk.
In the famous novel "Red Rock", the prototype of the big secret agent "Yan Drunk" in it is exactly this Shen Drunk, and during the Liberation War, Shen Drunk did indeed do a lot of things that hurt nature and reason.
Intoxicated
For much of his life, he helped the notorious military command within the Kuomintang system, and did a lot of unseemly activities such as kidnapping, torture, and assassination, and the "secret agent ideology" had even formed a kind of thinking inertia in his hands, and he had to ask Chiang Kai-shek for instructions in everything.
That month, Shen Drunk, the station chief of the Yunnan Station of the Military Command, sent a telegram to Chiang Kai-shek asking for instructions, and since Yunnan was in danger of being charged by the People's Liberation Army, he sent a telegram to ask Chiang Kai-shek what to do with the more than 90 progressives he had previously captured.
At that time, Chiang Kai-shek was also more troubled, and after receiving the telegram, he also replied with eight words: "The situation is excusable, and the crime is beyond reproach." ”
Among these eight words, the most difficult to understand is this "逭", which means "escape", and Chiang Kai-shek added the word "none" in front of it, in fact, the meaning is already obvious: although what they have done is excusable, the mistakes they can make can no longer be run.
In the Book of Shang, there is also a saying called: Self-inflicted sins, do not be reckless.
Combined with these historical materials, Chiang Kai-shek instructed Shen to kill more than 90 people.
Just eight words, wanting more than 90 people's lives, is really a bit cruel.
The ending seems to have been clear: if Shen Drunk saw these eight words, he would quickly execute them, and immediately send the executioner to end the lives of more than 90 people.
Coincidentally, although Chiang Kai-shek was wary of Lu Han at that time, he was still actively fighting for Lu Han, hoping that he could follow him with a dead heart, so he did not treat Lu Han too much as an outsider, the key is that this telegram is not a big deal for Chiang Kai-shek, so according to the normal process, the telegram will pass through the chairman of Yunnan Province, that is, Lu Han.
Lu Han didn't know this, he was shocked when he saw it, and he wrote "excusable feelings" and even wanted the lives of others.
He also knew very well that the drunken was not a fuel-saving lamp, let alone let him see the telegram, even if he knew Chiang Kai-shek's instructions, he would secretly send people to carry out tasks, and even skip himself directly.
Lu Han had a lot of unhappiness in his heart, but he couldn't show it.
Moreover, at this time, Lu Han had decided at the suggestion of Long Yun to wait for an opportunity to launch an uprising and join the People's Liberation Army, which was stained with the blood of more than 90 people before the formal uprising, which was also extremely bad for himself.
However, Chiang Kai-shek is still alive and cannot blatantly violate his will, and Lu Han has also made a mistake at once, how can he come up with a perfect solution.
Suddenly, a good idea came to his mind: go find Li Gen.
Lee Roots
Yunnan Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger, this Li Gen is also a very important figure, in the early days, he used to open the Yunnan Lecture Hall with the famous General Cai Yi, and also served as the teacher of Commander Zhu De, when he had the idea of uprising, he discussed countermeasures with this old gentleman, and looked for him to deal with this matter, which must be more than his own methods.
Cai Yi
Li Gen lived up to his name and directly taught Lu Han a trick
At that time, Li Gen was serving as a senior adviser to Lu Han, although in the actual official position, Lu Han was greater than Li Gen, from the personal relationship, Lu Han admired Li Gen very much, and Li Gen still had a bit of a "wisdom" feeling in Lu Han's mind.
Therefore, Lu Han hurried to ask his men to invite Li Gen over and show him the telegram.
Li Gengen felt that the situation was already very urgent, and could not be delayed any longer, if Shen Was drunk and could not see Chiang Kai-shek's reply for a long time, he would naturally become suspicious, and if he went to send a telegram to Chiang Kai-shek again, then the matter would be exposed, Chiang Kai-shek was a suspicious person, and Lu Han did not move when he received the telegram, so it was estimated that the next person to die would be himself.
Li Gengen stared closely at these eight words, suddenly found a way to crack them, and smiled.
Lu Han hurriedly inquired, only to see that Mr. Li Gengen had laid a "counter-hook" on the telegram, which is the place where Chinese culture is broad and profound, as long as the front and back words are reversed separately, the lives of more than 90 people can be left behind.
LuHan heard this and immediately realized it.
Originally, if we followed the original "extenuating circumstances, there is no blame for the crime", Chiang Kai-shek wanted to express the meaning that these people still had a certain contribution, but the mistakes made this time were too serious, and it was recommended to be killed.
Chiang Kai-shek wrote the first four words, that is, to play a comforting role, expressing that he was not so cruel, but the situation had reached this point, and there was no room for maneuver.
However, the first four words of Chiang Kai-shek created an opportunity to revise the telegram.
Reversing back and forth, it becomes "the sin is inexcusable, the feeling is excusable", the meaning has changed greatly, the meaning becomes that the mistakes made by these people are really unforgivable, but the thought is that they still have progressive ideas and contributions, let them go first.
After the method was settled, Lu Han quickly went to ask the translator to re-type one and handed it to Shen Drunk.
After Shen Drunk saw it, he thought that Chiang Kai-shek meant not to execute these people, so he couldn't do anything about these 90 or so people, in case he killed the wrong person, he couldn't bear the consequences.
Eight words reversed back and forth, Lu Han and Li Gen successfully saved more than 90 living lives.
Fortunately, Chiang Kai-shek was busy with official duties at that time, plus these 90 or so people did not mean much to Chiang Kai-shek, and at this time, even the little land under his ass could not sit still, who still had time to ask about killing a few people?
So the matter was put down.
Three months later, Chiang Kai-shek asked Li Mi, Yu Chengwan, Zhang Qun, and other commanders stationed in Yunnan to teach the military plane in person and discuss the next countermeasures, which was completely ripe for Lu Han.
On December 8, several military commanders just left on their front feet, and on December 9, Lu Han held an uprising overnight, and at 22:00 on the same day, Lu Han announced at the office of the chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Government in Wuhuashan: Yunnan has revolted, and all units have acted according to the original plan.
The day after the Yunnan uprising was teleported, Chairman Mao and Commander-in-Chief Zhu De sent a telegram to Lu Han, fully affirming Lu Han's uprising, which was of great help to the cause of the liberation of the southwest and what the people of the whole country hoped to see.
After Chiang Kai-shek heard about it, he was naturally not lightly angry, and he worked hard to solve Longyun and get rid of the "Kunming Uprising", but he did not expect that after 4 years, Lu Han came up with another one, and directly rose to the "Yunnan Uprising" and achieved success.
He also knew that the world had been decided, and he fled to Taiwan Province in a hurry.
In March 1950, the Military and Political Committee was also established in Yunnan Province, and Lu Han once again served as the director, and the unit that revolted that year was strictly reorganized and joined the order of the People's Liberation Army.
Now, in the Kunming archives, the telegram that determined the death of 90 people is still there, and someone has marked a counter-hook on the original text of "Extenuating Circumstances, Guilt Is Inexcusable", and it is precisely because of this hook that these people have turned the crisis into safety.
The symbol formed by a stroke has also become a thousand ancient strange pens jointly completed by Mr. Li Gen and Lu Han.
