BAIC Group began to develop new energy vehicles as early as 2003, and Zhang Xiyong truly felt the rapid development of China's new energy automobile industry in the past 19 years. He believes that after the initial stage of policy-driven development from 2012 to 2018, and the climbing period from policy-driven to market-driven since 2018, new energy vehicles are moving towards a high-speed growth period driven by technology, and sales will show exponential growth.
As the earliest vehicle enterprise in China to enter new energy vehicles, beiqi Foton Ouhui hydrogen fuel bus provided services for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. With the opening of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics imminent, 212 hydrogen-fueled buses and 330 electric vehicles of BAIC Group have been delivered to the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee to support the travel of the event.
The environmental benefits brought by new energy vehicles are obvious.
