At 8 p.m. on January 8, CCTV's large-scale program "China Archaeology Conference" once again focused on Suizhou, Hubei Province. As soon as the program was broadcast, the relevant content rushed to the Weibo hot search.
How complex is the bronze that has not been reproduced so far
The program shows the Zenghou Yizun Plate excavated from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng, with a complex structure and exquisite production, carved with 56 dragons and 48 cockroaches, which are vivid and lifelike. It is still not possible to model and replicate it in 3D. It is divided into plates and zuns, in winter, the plate with hot water can warm the wine in the zun; in the summer, the ice cubes on the plate can be iced.
In the program, some experts said that in fact, in the bronzes seen later, it is indeed difficult to see such exquisite bronzes.
Zeng Houyi chimes were golden 2400 years ago
There are also 65 pieces of bronze double-tone chimes excavated from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng, which are exquisitely cast and have twelve laws. The 36 chimes excavated from tomb No. 2 of The Drum Dun complement the rhythm of the chimes of Zeng Houyi and are combined with each other, which can be called the "sister bells" of ZengHouyi chimes. The two sets of music bells (except for the boring clocks) total 100 pieces, which can be divided and combined, are a complete and magnificent series of chimes.
The bronze Zenghou Yi chimes are the heaviest, largest, most systematic and most uniform set of chimes unearthed in the world so far. According to experts, bronze is made of copper and tin mixed proportionally, and the natural color of bronze is not cyan, but mostly orange-yellow. Zeng Houyi chimes 2400 years ago were actually golden and solemn.
Cracking the "Mystery of the Past"
Suizhou, Hubei, the hometown of Emperor Yan, the hometown of chimes. In 1978, the Zenghou Yi chimes unearthed from suizhou Suixian Drum Pier stunned the world, causing Zeng Guo, which was not recorded in historical records, to attract the attention of scholars. For decades, with the continuation of archaeological work, more and more treasures have been discovered in The Zenghou Yi of Suizhou, Hubei Province, and the surrounding ancient tombs, and now, a considerable number of national treasure-level cultural relics are displayed in the Suizhou Museum, a national first-class museum.
The new museum of Suizhou City museum is adjacent to the ancient tomb group of Dougudun, and now has more than 10,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, including 318 national first-class cultural relics (sets), and most of the collections are Shang zhou bronzes. The basic exhibition of the museum is themed "Handong Great Power", telling the legendary story of this historic land from multiple angles.
The "Great Power of Handong" is the Zeng Kingdom as it is known today. However, before the excavation of a large number of national treasure-level cultural relics from the tomb of Marquis Zeng, historians did not know the existence of Zeng Guo, because there is no record of Zeng Guo in historical documents. The "Zuo Biography" records: "The country of Eastern Han is as big as it gets. However, what is puzzling is that a large number of cultural relics excavated in the Spring and Autumn Period of Zengguo are exactly the location of Suiguo recorded in the historical materials, and the cultural relics named Suiguo have not been unearthed here. Scholars call it "the mystery that once followed.".

Hubei is referred to as E, the ancient Tong "nightmare" character. In 2007, inscriptions such as "Badhou Zha Brigade Yi" and "Badhou Zha Brigade Bao Zun Yi" were found on the bronze vessels excavated from tomb No. 4 of Yangzishan in Suizhou, proving that this place was once the location of the Badhou Kingdom.
Although Zeng Guo has disappeared into the long river of history, the artistic treasures left behind have amazed the world. These national treasures found in Suizhou, Hubei Province, have made many netizens marvel.
